All that I know is last year, I started calling about a minute or 2 before 9am. I just kept calling and hanging up until I wasn't getting the "we're closed" message. All of a sudden, someone answered and I was on my way.

I am on the fence and need to decide soon on this cruise. I WANT TO GO!!!
This will be DH 1st cruise and he is bummed about no ports of call.

I told him this would be a great CRUISE with out going to "a Port"

I called member services and confirmed that the cruise does not have to be booked on points!!! yeah!

But I did ask if all gratuities were included and she said NO!!!

I thought I read in here that this was the benefit to this cruise it was "all inclusive" Please let em know if she was correct!!!! This may be the breaker on my decision.

Thanks,
Erin

Erin - in 2003 the tips were not included. In 2005 they were. I don't think it is something we can count on for the 2006 cruise and I'm looking at it like if they are included it is gravy! Hope this helps.

Well, I don't know if gratuities are included on this cruise, but I can tell you my experience from last year.

I was one of the first people on the phone last year, just a few minutes after 9am. At that time, I was told that gratuities were NOT included and that I needed to consult my documents for the recommended amounts. But, while I was on chat with all the other DISers as they were booking, everyone was saying that they were told that gratuities WERE included. So, I don't know that every MS cast member is completely informed. We'll just have to wait to see on Saturday.

Who's going to WDW for Christmas? I'm surprising the kids with a trip over Christmas. They think we are going to my parents house in southeren Indiana.I'm just going to keep driving South.I wonder how long it will take for them to figure it out.(ages 14,11 & 7 ) I have to tell someone I'm about to burst.

sanddune

We will be there 12/16 - 12/24. We will get home just in time for DS to get to bed before Santa comes flying down the chimney. I cant wait only 18 days!!!!!!!

Thanks for the replies WDWLVR and alikat99.

I think I need to do alot of reading tonight on the gratuity amounts.

crzy4dals We will be at the BWV the same time as you!!! We should plan a quicky meet!!

Hey all,

WOW, such beautiful homes... Robin is planning on doing some decorations (time permitting) and I am sure she will post a picture or two...

The weekend was very long, and my birthday dinner was a fiasco. Also, our 2 month old Dish washer had a slight hemmorage... the CPU freaked out, closed the drain, and openned the water valve... The kitchen was flooded... I'll come back later with more details, but I need to catch up....

:jumping2:

Thanks for the picture of the snow.
makes me remember why I enjoyed Ballston Spa so much,
Of course I've lived in a warmer climate for 14 years and would die if I had to live there again.

I know what you mean!! I was born in the suburbs of Chicago and I do NOT miss the cold & snow. My idea of winter is a brisk day in the 50s and lows usually not dropping lower than the 30s. And, those days are only a few for the whole winter. THAT is my idea of winter!!! :rotfl2:

I actually lived just north of Jacksonville.
The 1st year we moved there, we were the morons still wearing shorts when it was 60.
The 2nd year, we were wearing sweatshirts.
By the 3rd year, we were wearing our heaviest winter coats...
Now that I live in Memphis, I find I can tolerate a little cold, but not too much,

I can relate!! When I first moved here, 50 & 60 were warm. Now, it's cold. I'm wearing my sweaters and turtlenecks!!! :cold:

You guys are wimps!! :rotfl2:

It was 14 degrees on Black Friday and I was out in a long sleeve t-shirt and polar fleece vest! :cold: I didn't want any heavy coat weighing me down! :rotfl2: It was around 50 today and I had short sleeve t on and no socks with my crocs! :rotfl:

Yeah, but I can guarantee that after your second or third mild winter here in Florida, you'll feel the same way. But sadly, you are still in the freezing cold instead of the warmth of the sunshine state. :rotfl2:
