Diana is the snow sticking? I'm hoping for a mild winter this year. Hope that snow goes away!!

No, not sticking thankfully. We have a ton of leaves to rake still, so it better not stick!

Nothing about the cruise at our house yet. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. I can't wait for call in. Annmarie

It was snowing here, mostly flurries all afternoon, but we had about 3 squalls that were so bad I could hardly see out the window!! :faint: They said it's supposed to be on and off until tomorrow morning!! Low tonight 27. :cold:

Funny how we don't live that far from each other but the weather can be so different.

We got our thing in the mail and Tom and I talked about it last night. He really wants to take the girls on the cruise since we left them home the last time. So...... we are going to be on the phone Dec 3 with everyone else. :cool1: I can't wait. I really wanted to go but didn't know how we were going to pay. We are going to put it on the Disney credit card and that way we will have about $40 more on our rewards card when we go in Jan.

I am so excited. I have been looking over our cruise book and now we have to decide what cat. we want to try to get. Last year we had a 4 because that was all that was left and we loved it. I really don't want to spend that much money. What cat is everyone else trying to get and why? I would love to hear what everyone likes and if there is any kinds to avoid. We will have our dd's who will be 7 and 9. Is there anyway that the 7 year old could be moved up to the 8 and 9 group? I know she would rather be with her sister.

You should be able to move your 7yr old up into the 8 yr old group. We were on the last member cruise and my 7 yr old DD was given the choice of either group.

Serious Question, Yesterday I called Member Services to verify that I needed to call on the 22nd to make my pre-cruise ressies. She told me that I should call and update the reservations every day and add the next day?!? Something about the last couple of days might fill up quick... Should I worry at the 11 month out Home Resort Window....

What are your thoughts????

OH, I bet being that's Halloween weekend they are expecting a crowd. I really don't think it will be hard at the 11 month window, will it? My biggest concern is getting on the ship, that will set out, quickly.

My plan is to wait until the 3rd and hopefully get on the cruise. Then Monday morning I'll call and book my home resort BCV for Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Then when the 7 month window opens, if we want to switch, we can try. I'm thinking we do have a lot of time and worst case scenario we can wait list......there's definitely enough time to wait it out. Worst worse case scenario, DCV is a complete sell-out and we end up paying cash at POP or POR again. It won't kill us, as long as we get on that ship!

I figure That the 21st and the 26th will be difficult days. I would recommend booking those righton the window date. Esp the 26th. I think it will get sold out at 11 Months... JMHO... The ressie is fully cancellable (unless you borrow the points, then you have to use them in the same use-year), but we would use them anyhow... Even If we don't make the cruise (god forbid, bite my tongue) that would be the week we would go (because of when our AP's expire...)

I would recommend calling on tje 28th to make sure you get those night...TheWeekend makes it so the first 3 days can be booked together.

This is JMHO

I am hoping someone can help me out on this. We will be sailing on the Wonder on Dec 3. Is there anyway we will be able to contact Member Services to make a reservation for the Members Cruise? Any ideas?

Jenny0725 thanks for the information. Did your 7 year old like being with the 8 and 9 year olds? We there many kids in that group?

In the excitement of everything I forgot to add that I need a job too. What can I do to help with everything?

ohanafamily you went the same route I did. :teeth: My post before yours I told her to call before boarding - then I reread her post and realized she will be on the ship on the 3rd - either a sea day or at CC (not sure what the itineriary is for the 3 day).

For those who have received the cruise mailing from Dis---

I have not gotten a card or mailing from Dis re: cruise --but since the info is on the dvc member site--is there anything different in the mailing?

The mailing has no new information - less than the website actually so you should be fine!

Is there a relative or friend who could call for you on a land line? You could give them all the info needed.
A cell phone will be slow and you may not get a good signal

Thanks #1Mouse, Sigillaria, and Ohanafamily for the ideas. Yes, we will be at Castaway Cay that on Dec. 3! What rotten timing this turned out to be! Do you think talking to the DVC rep while on the Wonder will help me at all? Do they have a link to Member Services?

Is there any chance at all of a Category 9 being available on Monday, Dec 5th? Do they establish a waiting list?

You are in a tough spot. Being in paradise (Castaway Cay) while the rest of us are trying to book. Based on last year I don't think there will be anything available on Monday. Also I don't believe there are DVC reps on the Wonder - only on the Magic. The good new is that yes they do establish a waitlist and it did come through for a number of people last year.

Good luck!

I dont know if there is anything you can do... Can another family member call in for you??? (((Hugs)))) And keep us posted if you do find a way to call in from CC!

Edited to take out that Marty is on the Wonder but then I remembered he isnt DVC he is DCL! :rotfl2:

I would call Member services and ask them (800-******** Prompt 3,2,1.

Also, there is a guest reltions desk onboard... maybe they can help you...

IAEF, have a relative or trusted friend call....
