My t-shirts are going to be mailed out as cards?? :rotfl2: :rotfl: That makes me practically a famous t-shirt maker! :rotfl2: :rotfl: I smell another ebay business on the horizon!! Ugh--I was thinking today next year, the girls shirts won't fit, so I'll be making a whole new batch next September!
Yep, and we were asked SO many times where we got them!! You are famous!!! You'll have to get back in the t-shirt biz again next year!!! :rotfl2:

Welcome!! Glad to have someone else around to talk about snow with. You'll find some people here (not mentioning any names) like to brag about 80 degree weather while we are digging out! :cold:
No 80s here, only 50s tonight and 70s tomorrow. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yea doesn't that just get your goat how they keep doing that!?

"oh is it snowing there?.... gee I didn't know that, we were out having a picnic." :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I live in the wrong state! :cold:
Yeah, we're heading to WDW tomorrow and we might actually have to bring sweaters for the evening. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Amy we'll just have to send some of our cold northeren winds down for you!We don't want you to get to hot. :teeth:

I was at the Dollar Store earlier today and found some Mickey Mouse post cards so I was going to put one in each of the "boys" stockings for Xmas--make it sound like Mickey sent the card to them. Only my husband will really know who sent it but he will be so surprised that he wont care. I told some friends about it--luckily I can speak french and he can't so he has no idea what I was talking about--though he knows when I switch to french that it usually means he is not to know about it and of course questions me afterwards--just said I was talking about Xmas gifts for the boys and did not want them to walk in accidentally--feel sort of bad for lying to him (OK not really that bad since I know the "whole story")but I know he will get over it once he finds out why.

It has finally finished snowing here--it has snowed steady all day so there is about 8cm (oops--3" for my American friends) of snow and -2C (28 degrees for all you sun worship types).

Diana, I sent you an email with my kids ages etc on it. I know they will have fun with other kids. My younger one only speaks french but he will know english by the cruise as I am not going to send him to french school and I have to switch to english in the new year. he understands english, just answers in french. My older son gave up french once he realized that you can actually go to english school--got to love the relatives for pointing that out to him!

I know the time will pass quickly

You should ask Amy if you can send her the postcards and she can plop then in the mail from florida this way the have a florida postmark on them.

thanks for the idea, but they will think that Santa sent them. We can send a letter to santa c/o North Pole H0H 0H0 and Canada Post employee's will send back a cute letter from santa so I will just add the card to the reply. It is really neat that Canada Post employee's do this on their time off.

Stitch,I'm not for sure they would make it for Christmas.Canada takes at least 5-6days for us here in the Detroit area.

You'll have to post some pics so we can see some of the great Christmas decorations.
We were lucky enough to see that once and I want to go during the holidays again.
That could be the next big thing DVC does. Rather then just the Member Mixer have some big "Gather around the family fire" 4 day party!
I think I need to send DVC a resume!

Yet another reason to move to Florida - you can actually keep a goat outside right now! Then people can get it whenever you dish it out!

Jacqui that is a great way to tell them. I think they would love it. Where do you live? I can't believe that you dh has not learned French. That would drive me crazy and I would have to learn. We met a couple that live outside of Montreal that were speaking French by the pool and he said they would be comming on this cruise. There are about 10 of us that are going to meet in the adult pool for a reunion.

My dh said that he is going to join us here on the boards. We will see if he actually does.

That's very cool! I like that idea!

I speak french!! I will talk to him! :rotfl2: :rotfl: Where in Canada are you? I used to live in Plattsburgh, NY and work at Customs for a broker out of Montreal so I went there a few times a week on business (and spoke only French to them!)

Well, I didn't realize that. I completely missed that conversation.

Chris and Amy do you not talk to each other except for here???? :rotfl2: I think you have started something getting Chris to post. :rotfl2:

Actually I was just laughing at, er- *with* Amy that she did not know that. I overheard the husband telling the story, thought I told Amy. Amy must have been wondering - why in the world would they hire a rock band for a 4yo b-day party?

I live in Toronto where french is not spoken that much. All gov't offices etc must offer it as we are considered a bilingual country. Montreal and for that matter all of Quebec has french as their first language and do to politics (I won't even go there) they have laws about only having signs in french and that if english is even allowed it can only be a certain size etc. I learned french in school so it is not my mother tongue. To be fair, my husband's family is polish and he can speak that and I am really lost--I can make sure I get what I like to eat and a beer and that is about it. Toronto is very multicultural--we are areas of the city that are mini-cities--Chinatown, Greektown, Portuguese town etc and at times, you may not find someone in those shops in those areas of town that actually speak english--a lot of pointing and charades goes on ( I have done it in Chinatown so I know) to get what you want.

Where is everyone? I thought this board would be hopping tonight.

I took a break. Gary took the kids to meet someone to deliver a BIG item I sold on Ebay. Turned out, they met in the town Gary's sister lives in way south of here (like by fireplug's area). So, they stopped over there.

The house was quiet.....I was whipped. So, I sat down and watched a so-so movie (The Upside of Anger). I love Kevin Costner but this role wasn't him. Anyway, that's where I spent my afternoon. And, watching the snow fall here. :cold:

Gary and the kids just got home a bit ago. Roads are getting bad, Cameron told me someone spun out (full 180) behind them. I'm glad they are home now. :goodvibes
