I got one for the AMEX card too, but since I don't have a business either, I had to pass on that one.

Weird, because I do have a business and didn't get that one????

Just how are you "getting them". I've been to the site and had nothing there for me. Am I missing something? Are they coming to you in email?

:thanks: for all the help with the ipod stuff.

Todd, your post alone was enough to want me to second guess this idea. I'm taking it with me to the mall this weekend so I can see exactly what the differences are with my own eyes.

Good to know that prices are pretty much standard all around. I didn't realize that.

Thanks again for everyone input. :)

Cindy - I went to the site as my hotmail is slowwwwwwwww. Be sure to do the training guides like Diana suggested (you get points and you get qualified for deals).

I got an email about the Ziploc containers and when I went to the site, it was there, along with the AMEX one. But, I never received an email about the AMEX one. This is going to take some getting used to, but I'm excited about getting those ZIPLOC containers.

Yep, I did the training guides and ALL of the polls/surveys, so maybe that's part of it too. :confused3

Working on the polls/surveys now. I did the training guide.

Must just be me. :(

I'm sure my day will come.

When I did it the other day, there were SO many polls. It took me at least an hour to do them all, but thankfully it was nap time.

If you go with the Apple Ipod, BUY THE WARRANTY!

Tanya is on her 4th and I Have not had to pay to replace it!

I will second that, and not just for the replacement aspect. The AppleCare people couldn't be easier to work with. I have the iPod mini (which was replaced by the nano) and have had the iPod do strange things occasionally (lock up, only play part of an audiobook, etc.) and a phone call to their service people fixed it right up. They walk you through what to do on the phone, and it's soooo easy! And, as an added benefit, all their tech support people are easy to understand (no unusual accents).

My mini is a 4 gb. I got it for Christmas 2 years ago, and it is now almost full. I love listening to podcasts and they fill the iPod up quickly. Unfortunately, finding the time to listen to them isn't always easy. That's why they're filling up my iPod!

Not movies, but some TV. I've bought a few (I think 5) Lost episodes from iTunes. Those transfer as a no-brainer exercise if you use iTunes. Simply tell them to sync, and they sync.

I have not purchased any movies from iTunes, because there's really no reason for me to just yet. If the upcoming iTV device is all that, and if I've got the $300 lying about I might get one.

The other sources for TV and Video have been iTunes freebies (they do about 1 video item and 2 songs per week - 1 mainstream, 1 indie), and my TiVo. If you have a TiVo (a real TiVo not a cable company copycat) you can use the TiVo desktop software (the $25 version, not the free version) to convert video for use on your iPod. I have episodes of Kim Possible, Lost, Justice League Unlimited, and a few other things.

One thing with TiVo Desktop is the software is a bit limiting in that it doesn't present a way off the bat to convert stuff that you are archiving on your computer that is not in the default TiVo Desktop directory. To solve this problem I wrote a wrapper program that forces TiVo Desktop to do this. You can find it here:

http://www.net-marks.com/software/tivo_converter_wrapper

As for getting movies off of DVD. Well, you'd need a DVD ripper - I've not really felt the need to do this so I don't know much about such software. Once you have it, you can use the following to convert any video (under Windows - I'm not a Mac user) for use on your iPod:

http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/

Another option is to that if you have Windows Media Center Edition and a TV card and use that to record TV, you can use the following to convert from the MCE proprietary DVR-MS format to standard MPEG which can be played on your iPod (or even your TiVo):

http://bluwiki.com/go/DVRMSToolbox_User_Guide

The steps would be use DVRMSToolbox to convert to MPEG, use Vidoera iPod Converter to convert to iPod.

Hope this helps.
Unfortunately, I don't think the Tivo desktop will work with Macs. I know that I can't transfer shows from the Tivo to my laptop. But, of course, the Mac works GREAT with the iPod! :teeth:

I signed up too but didn't get to apply for that campaign - I was asked to do one for amex and small business owners but I don't own a small business and didn't answer that way. I have a feeling this is not going to be for me. Ugh :(

I got the AmEx one and today some Selling magazine subscription. No containers. It's hit or miss. But don't give up, because you do get some really cool things. Also, if there's a cool product that you won't use, still join because I'm convinced the more you join, the more campaigns you get asked to join. Like, I'm not a coffee drinker, but I still joined the coffee campaign. Who cares, it's free coffee, right?

Ok can anyone explain why it is so flippen hard to find a 9 foot prelit tree that has MULTI colored lights that is not outrageously priced (including being $100 more than the same tree with clear lights)?????

All I want is a 9 foot tree with multi lights is that too much to ask (and no, I don't want to spen $400 for it either :)

I tend to agree that if you get anything other than a Shuffle get a warranty.

The only warranty I suggest over Apple's is one from Best Buy. Their's is a wrapper for the Apple Warranty so they will handle all contact with Apple for you, but they also include Battery Replacement in their warranty which Apple alone does not. Batteries will run you $50-$75 for replacement otherwise.

I've searched and can't find it ... did someone post that Joann's or another store has cricut's on sale through the end of the year???

Question: How does one transfer the cruise we booked onboard to another date to get an additional onboard credit? Do I call a travel agent or can I go directly thru DCL?

The Castaway Club shoreside survival kit is either the Ducky puzzle or a CD of the music played at sail away. For the 11 night cruise we received the CD but it was cracked. I called and they are suppose to send out a new one.

We got the CD after our January cruise. Let me know if you dont get one and I will copy it for you!
