:) Good Evening All :)
What a WONDERful day. It's been a busy day, but now I've gotten everything done that I wanted and I'm outside enjoying what's left of this day.
Buffet's in Charlotte and on RM. All we need is that Tiki Bar. :cool1:

Peter, are you dried out yet? At least you don't have to shovel.

"Nothing as rare as a June day"--what does that mean? :confused3

Everyone have a great week. :thumbsup2

Here's one of the first glaciers we saw in college fjiord. If you look sideways at the picture, the white part looks like a fox!

This shot is my favorite funny one. It's during the photo safari. These sea lions are playing 'King of the bouy' and every time one comes out of the water or goes back in, the bouy swings hard to one side and then the other. The eagle spreads it's wings to hold it's perch and gives a loud cry as if to say 'Sit Still!" The big sea lion keeps pushing the others off, and they keep trying to get back on. We kept laughing and almost falling off the boat...

This is for anyone who doesn't like the canada geese dropping by their yards in the US... I think they are back in Canada for the year! I've never seen so many of them in one place! In the park near my sister's house there were thousands of them, and they worry more about goose poop than dog doodies...

I knew it! I knew it! Just always figured that Elaine was behind the goose invasion from the north.
When Tippy was a pup, she like to remind them that they should be back home. Now its...."who cares?" :confused3

Back home?
I hear that they are tasty. :teeth:

Ahhhh the Audubon Shotgun School of Ornithology.

Bob,

Goose a l'orange? That sounds like a Christmas feast... I didn't know how big those birds were until my 4 yo great-nephew walked up to them! LOL, I don't think he did either...

This is what we waited for, and one of the big reasons we went on this trip. We were not disappointed. We saw some animals on the way in, Eric saw some otters in the water, others saw a bear on shore, I think we saw a humpback that day, but I'm not sure. The deep sapphire color of the glacial ice is amazing! No picture can reveal it's intensity. It was a beautiful place, and I'd love to go again soon!

Here's where you can see and compare the cabin to the Disney ones. They are smaller and don't have the cool steamer trunk and music score on the wall, but they're efficient, and the beds are really comfy. Eric loved the flat screen tv, though to get the remote to work, he had to aim it at the glass on the picture over the couch and bounce it off. It didn't work if you just aimed it at the tv... If you have any other cabin questions, please email or call me

hey Everybody,

Some of you know my family, some of you ARE my family, and others wanted to know what my pix look like. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them. More albums will be coming tomorrow of the ship and ports of call.

I hope you enjoy my photos! When you're done, you can order prints or add comments to the guest book.

This sunset is as we're going through the narrow passage before going into Vancouver. We finally got south far enough to have a real sunset before midnight. I think this was about 10:30pm.

If you guys are getting too many of these albums, please email or call me and I'll take you off the list. The next one will be the cabin on HAL and the one after that will probably be glacier bay
.

Renae, perfect just some of the stuff I was wondering. HAL is available to us via a DVC exchange. I have this feeling the DCL has spoiled us in many ways. Thanks Much for the info.

H

It would be pretty scarry id a bunch of us Lanyard People showed up.... :rotfl:

Thanks T&D for the reminder, makes me feel better about not leaving Wyoming too early, gotta do this trip, and WY is closer to AK than FL. Then again you get to work for the Mouse and be warm in the winter :goodvibes

We did the DVC exchange right after they brought HAL onboard for the Alaska cruise. Robert's dad always wanted to go to Alaska so we took him on the cruise. We flew into Seattle and then drove to Vancouver to board. It was alot cheaper that way. We agree with Renae's assessment of HAL. While we enjoyed it tremendously, when comparing to the CM's on the Magic and Wonder, there is no comparison! And like she said, they charge extra for everything. I have to say though, that I won over $1,200 on that cruise on guessing the distance the ship had travelled between one of the ports and then to where we would be at noon on a particular day and then I won a round of bingo too! Paid for our excursions!

I would do Alaska again in a heartbeat if DCL went up that way! Just think, a repositioning cruise from Florida to Alaska and then another week in Alaska. That should take a total of about a month!

Oh would you guys stop posting pictures :rotfl2: (just kidding...they are great) BUT you are making me want to go to Alaska NOW....instead of in a few years....

Do you think if we start bombarding DCL with Alaska requests now...they may consider it for 2008??????

Could you imagine if the lanyard people did invade HAL...they wouldn't know what hit them!!!!!

After reading some of Renae's review I think we probably would have got in trouble for some of the things we did on our cruise......Like we probably would have been "banished" to our rooms for "borrowing" deck chairs.....I still think about that night...and think what I would have given to see the guys/gals in the camera room when they saw us in the elevator panicking when the "white suit" was there when the door opened.....and then to see us running down the halls carrying the chairs.....I must say it was pretty fun...but I also think that it was the start of my "bad" streak....thanks Linda!!!!!

P.S. Kay....just think, this time next week you will be having a MAGICal voyage!!!!!!

No problem. Glad you can blame being "BAD" on me. Takes the pressure off your mom! :rotfl2:

Where's Elaine tonight? Feeding her geese?
Feed them well. Two words....Foie Gras :teeth:

(yes I know it's normally duck, but goose will work also)

awww Bob...missing me already????

I was actually out walking down at the lake (where's that walking smilie when you need it!!)...with my "friends".

I thought that Goose with Maple Syrup gaze...would be truly Canadian and totally better than "goose a l'orange"!!!!!!

Bob,
Did you forget that there's that amazing maple glazed salmon on the Magic? That's my favorite dish of the whole cruise!

BTW, That last top pic is actually my sister's back yard. I don't know how it got into the single pix I was sending you, Kay, sorry...
