I told Lee that you mentioned earthquakes in WY and I said that it was strange that you got them in the mountains. She had to remind me of what we(she) learned at Yellowstone and the constant tremblings and the broken fireplace at the lodge, ect.

Im in Woodland Hills and I missed the whole thing...LOL. A friend of mine I met for breakfast asked if I felt anything and I did not even know it had happened....oh well...I am glad the rest of you are all ok...

And Jim, I, too, was here during Northridge (in Burbank) - That definitely keeps us a bit edgy when the earth starts moving....sorry to hear about your properties....

You need to be a Monty Python fan.

There is a show now playing at Broadway called "Spamelot" which is basically a stage version of the film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail."

In that film there is a scene where the knights of the round table make a huge deal out of going to Camelot, with choreography and singing the praises of said legendary place. Once the song is over, King Arthur says "On second thought, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place." And they don't go there.

I'll be in New York next weekend to see the show.

I'm guessing if we all got together and combined our households, we could be an awesome team for Let's Make a Deal!! (What was the DCL version of that, Elaine?) I'd have to add in Keith's sis though--she has a suit of armor....

Had the bright idea yesterday to go to Idyllwild (up in the mountains) to escape the heat. Rented a great cabin right on the side of the mountain...only several miles from Anza, the center of this morning's quake. Then this morning...wham! Things out of the cupboards...daughter rolling out of bed to the floor....5.6 is plenty big.

I was in the Northridge quake..my house fell down...so did a rental home I owned. This morning was not fun....Almost sent me straight to a bloody mary! Glad to hear it wasn't bad in other areas. Called our neighbors this morning and it woke everyone up in Palm Springs..but no damage. So we are back home now...safely on the desert floor....12 miles from the San Andreas Quake! Why do I live here?

Thank goodness Joe has cleared a path to the computer for me over the weekend! Now at least I can sit here and do something constructive like work on the pictures. Guess I should get started on the scrapbooking too... I'm still behind from Linda's class on board!

Hope everyone in CA made it thru that earthquake okay. I can't imagine what it's like. Hope I never have to find out.

Now .. anyone who wants to spin yarn out of Golden Retiever hair.. let me know... I can send you tons of it. I swear these dogs should be bald with all the hair we pick up every day.
