Scott

Since I'm not sure that I'll be online tomorrow....(we leave very early Wednesday morning for Florida and our cruise  )....so I wanted to send you get well soon wishes from Canada....Mom and I hope your surgery is successful and that you will be healed in no time....I do like your scar tattoo ideas...especially the Buzz Lightyear with the laser!!!!! Can't wait to see if you get it!!!!!

Take care....

Scott + Lynn,

You've been in our thoughts all day. Scott, a speedy recovery.

Georgie + Joe

Scott,
While I am writing my sleep protocol, I hope you are sleeping well. :goodvibes Feel better soon and heal quickly. I too vote for a cool tattoo to go with the scar. I look forward to seeing it in September.

I just got back from seeing Scott, he made it thru surgery fine. He had a block on his shoulder, so he still is feeling no pain. The block should wear off tomorrow morning. It was a more serious injury than the Doc thought from the MRI, his recovery will be slower than previously expected. After seeing Scott in recovery, I had to go to work for a few hours (just as he was really waking up, of course), but I got to leave early (9 pm) and went back over and visited him for another hour. I couldn’t stay too long because the dogs were home waiting for dinner, so I missed the chocolate lava cake that they said they were serving at midnight! He is at an out patient clinic, not the hospital, so the service and the food has been good. For dinner, they order out from several local restaurants, they would have fed me dinner also, but I had to go to work. I left Scott in good spirits (feeling no pain for the first time since the injury). I will bring him home tomorrow morning, I’m sure he will remain in good spirits until the block wears off, then he will have to start hitting the pain medication. I have most of the week off from work, only have to work a partial shift on Wed night that could not get covered. Thanks to everyone for all their support and pixie dust!

Chocolate lave cake....what the heck.

:surfweb: Finishing my paper on sleep protocols...it is written now I have to revise it. To gain "fresh eyes" and to WAKE UP, I am going to go run on the treadmill. :yay: Robb accused me of having diet mountain dew in my veins earlier. :rotfl2: 8 hours until the paper is due- I don't procrastinate do I... :rolleyes1

Kind of ironic writing about sleep, while not doing it....working nights has really messed up my sleep-wake cycle. How you doing Peter, you working tonight?

:sunny: Hi, Lynn!!! Glad to hear Scott came out of surgery fine!! Take care of yourself, as well as everyone else. :cheer2:

Bummer you missed out on the great food! I'll have to get the name of that place...it may come in handy in the future!!! :rotfl2:

Give him a big hug for all of us!

Lynn! :wave2:

Thanks for keeping us updated on Scott. So glad the procedure went well. Sorry to hear the recovery will take a bit longer than expected, but at least the hurdle of the operation is over and done.

Scott! :wave2:

Hang in there! We're sending more pixie dust your way!

Georgie

Hi everyone. I may not post as often as Scott, but I will try to keep everyone informed of his progress. The block on his shoulder was wearing off when I got in to see him at 8am this morning. So he is now on pain killers. We made it home, but the driveway is really rough, and the bouncing up the hill did not help the shoulder. After some more pain pills, and a half hour neck rub (one of his main complaints is the muscle pain in his neck, he is on valium for that), he got comfortable enough to fall asleep on the sofa. Again, thanks to everyone for your good thoughts. I will get him to the computer to read them when he is comfortable sitting here.
Celeste, hope you got your paper in on time. Scott was wondering if you had any recommendations for diet to improve healing, any suggestions? I’m glad I have to work only one night this week, and it is not a full shift, just 3am to 7am on Thursday morning, so I will basically be a day shift person this week.

Vitamin C, protein, water, and rest- That would be my best recommendation. I don't know if he will fell up to eating meat yet- but the protein will help him repair the damage that has been done.(as will the vitamin C).

Hope he feels better.

Three more night shifts!!! :woohoo: (including tonight)
