Kay,
Did Debbie wonder why so many May 14th passengers were calling her today??? :rotfl: :rotfl:

Actually, Laurie, she did mention that. How funny you asked.

She was super pleasant and nice. Said she was very jealous of us !!!

Leslie you are soooo right. Even with help from our TUSSY friends I'll need those slinky-stretchy-knitty things I just bought. I have one in black, an outfit in turquoise, and one in red. I'm gonna need a fairygodmother :wizard: to help me after that.

I didn't join up with TUSSY... because I have NO WILLPOWER when it comes to cruise ship food. :sad2: Although now that I hear chocolate bars are involved....:rotfl: Nah... I will start at the embarcation shrimpfest and go downhill from there.....
I've got a couple of the slinky-stretchy-knitty outfits myself... :rotfl: they may become uniform of the day for days 6-14 if not before!! Good luck to all the TUSSY folks.. I admire your determination.... in fact I'll toast you with a chocolate souffle!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Did anybody happen to ask Debbie if we can do Palo, brunch, tea, etc more than once?

Debbie would only accept one booking for each from me...however, she did say that as we would be on board for 2 weeks, she expected that there would be a lot of availability once onboard

This is really for the ladies only, unless of course you ummm move that way... Hmmm well lets not go there...

Oh ladies, I have found this dress store on the web www.buyinamerica.com. You are not going to believe the prices. I purchased 2 formals with shawls for the grand total of $130.00. The dresses that I purchased are lovely and the family says they look good...The people there are sooo nice. I have spoken with a woman names MJ tons of times today( a diffreent order) and she was very helpful. You might want to give the web site a peek..

Bye, Kim

Kim,
They have a lovely assortment...and those shawls and scarves! WOW Thanks a million.

Our turn:
Carolyn and I met in Nursing School and have been married for 34 years. We have a son (33), a daughter (30), a granddaughter (by marraige-19), and two grandsons (18 mon., 10yr). I spent 20 years in the Navy, had the privilage of going to Desert sheild/Storm, stationed in Florida 3 times, which started our many visits to WDW. While in the Navy I continued in school and I am currently a certified registered nurse anesthetist working mostly on labor and delivery. Carolyn "retired" as an RN when I retired from the Navy and currently works part time at our church with the music ministry and part time for Kids House for a fund raising program presently under way. We had been on an NCL cruise many years ago, but sailing on the maiden voyage of the Magic got us hooked- we've been on over 20 DCL cruises (and a few on other cruise lines but don't tell Mickey we cheated on him). Carolyn enjoys reading and we walk almost every day. We moved into our current house about a year and a half ago and are renovating the house and property. There are 6 acres on a lake with a separate mother-in-law building and a 2 story barn. We have a 15 year mortgage and we might be finished by then. The people we met on DCL cruises are what make the cruises so special. Ken introduced us to the idea of the disboard while on the Christmas cruise and others encouraged us to join in. We are looking forward to meeting everyone. Alex :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I'm new to the list. I had been avoiding this list until my cruise was paid for because I wasn't sure if it would happen and I didn't want to get too excited. But we're going!!! I started reading it after we were paid off, and must admit that while I haven't read it all I've read most of the latest entries. It sounds like the ship is going to be full of fun people!

We haven't gotten any docs yet, but we booked through Disney then transferred to another agency to save money. We're in Florida for those who are geographically tracking doc arrivals.

We're traveling with our son who will turn 5 the day we go through the Canal, our other son (19 months but we just couldn't leave him that long), two grandparents and two godparents. We're getting to WDW on Wednesday the 11th and leaving LA on Tuesday the 31st.

Yay I think I'm all set...I Hotwired a room for the night before we fly out, only $68 instead of $279. Got 2 rooms. So wish I could have booked through Hilton.com but their rate was just too high and I knew the 3.5 star was either the Hyatt or Hilton so I'm quite happy.

I have an extra reservation in California--haven't decided if we're sticking in Anaheim for the last night or heading to LA. Since we're flying out of Long Beach Anaheim is closer, but if we touristing in LA, the LAX hotel is closer. Decisions!

Of course, having my cruise docs would be great. Maybe they are waiting for me at home!

Celeste, check your PM! We all know you're reading this right now!

nitrame, our anniversary is on the first day at sea, the 16th. That works out great for us as we are starting out the day with our massage and ending the day with Palo. It's also nice that we are getting our massage early in the trip before we get sunburned. On our last cruise, we roasted in the sun and it made the massage on our last day at sea a little uncomfortable!

It was posted here somewhere, our formal nights are the 16th and 26th. The semi-formal nights are the 19th and 21st. Tropical is the 18th and Pirate is the 23rd. I hope I got all that right!

Rebecca, I've never been to Willamette Valley Vineyards but we love going to wineries. Thanks for the recommendation! We'll definitely try it! Did you hear Enchanted Forest is getting a new dark ride that sounds like something that will rival some of Fantasyland's classics?

USPS is not much better...they returned a package to disney direct without delivering it to us first, how rude! In the box there is a sold out item, a birthday gift for ME, so I would like the box please...OH I have to pack my box for FedEx ground...wine and booz and bears, oh my! Well, maybe not bears.

I got my order from Oriental Trading and my fat-lady caftans from my Plus-size Store. NO DOCS... Please don't make me wait until the week before, Please Please Pleeeeeeease don't make me wait that long, I won't have any fingernails left and will have to glue on those long curvy ones from the drug store.

I am worried that if I tell you about myself that you will all be bored to tears and no one will want to meet me. ;) So I will keep you guessing.

I could be a stereotypical Southern California beach bunny with blond hair and blue eyes who spends time shopping and visiting the spa.
I could be a mom of two who spends her evenings chauffering her kids to hockey practice and her weekends attending games and tournaments.
I could be a Disney fanatic who has been to Disneyland more than 200 times and visits several times a year.
I could be an overworked and overstressed business owner that needs a Disney Cruise vacation so that I don't go insane.

I guess you will find out on May 14th which one I am. :earboy2:

No...I hadn't heard that...sounds cool :cool1: I haven't been there for about 3 years...took my nephew when he was five.

There a lots of vineyards in the valley that I have heard are very good. I don't drink wine so I can't give a personal opinion :earboy2:

Okay...so I managed to stay off the board for a little over an hour! I can't find mortality rates by race and state---I know they exist and it's making me VERY mad!:crazy2:

I'm writing a paper, which had to be emailed by midnight- and I have spent (literally) 12 hours searching the internet for these stupid numbers. I can find them by state, I can find them by race, I just can't find them with both variables together!

Margaret- sorry about your Mom...I know it is stressful having family history which makes the physicians scratch their heads....

My younger sister is featured on the American Heart Association's web site....we have a pretty interesting story.

We have the same set of medical conditions-she expresses the traits- I don't-yet. When I tell most people MD's what I have- they look confused- needless to say....I don't allow them to treat me. (I have strict instructions that should anything happen to me where I work- who can take care of me and who can't!) It's a long story....but I am very healthy- you would never know I was a ticking time bomb.

Enough of that!

I got my Reposition shirts and Disney tiki outfits today- so exciting....

Back to the paper....

Steve- thanks for the info on the package- maybe we will do that on the 27th- which is our actual anniversary night- maybe they won't do it because it is the last night? Does it have to be done all together- on the same day?
