Today we bit the bullet and submitted our passport applications. It will be a huge relief once they should up (approx four weeks, so they say). I am still a bit dizzy after paying the price for the three of us.

I had the same worries... We went to our post office who handled everything for us. First she said she would need to have our original DRIVER'S LICENSE to send in with the application. We looked at her dumbfounded, and asked how we were supposed to drive while the applications were being processed!

She gave us the same dumbfounded look as if to say... You'll have to find a way!

Then she realized what she had said and told us our BIRTH CRETIFICATES would have to be sent along with the application. Too Funny!!!

All that to say, we a tad over $100 for each of us (gulp)! But we just got them in the mail and waited only 3 weeks as opposed to the 6 they say to plan for!

I know this will come as a complete surprise to everyone, but one of my interests is improv comedy. Since DCL took the improv out of Off-Beat, it's up to us to bring improv back to the Magic. So, I'll be "hosting" some improv games on one of the at sea days TBD. Anyone interested? No experience necessary. It's just for fun. Audience members needed, too, but a minimum drink requirement may be imposed to enhance the comedic value of participants.

Seaulater = Disboard Navigator. The Navigator To Be Made and delivered to everyone's "fish" for when they arrived at their stateroom door.
I will make up the navigator (for everything we have scheduled prior to the cruise), print, bring, and deliver to everyone. I will also bring extras for the sailaway party(ies).
What has been done in the past is that the Navigator was posted, before we left on a website and then people could print out if they wanted.

So here's what it will list:
1. People's names; location and whether they are playing tag or not..
2. Each day and the schedule of disboard activities for that day.
3. A place for Notes.
4. Anything else that might be deemed important.

Ron Jons and the Radisson, no official meets have been Set up as of yet but Look for folks all day around the pool area's also several others at the Airport hyatt and plans are in works.

I got my Chadwick's order yesterday!!! I didn't open the iron, but I did check out the carryon suitcase and the free bags. Will definitely work for a few trips. No pockets or anything, but room enough for the glow necklaces and Keith's grass skirt!!! Thanks to the OP. I got in after a few pages, so I'm not sure who that is!

EpcotKilterFan - I'm shipping wine, I can't afford to lose that, what would I drink with dinner (and breakfast and lunch hehe)?!?! Where does one find diet ginger ale with Splenda? And the sryups, YUM! I'm allergic to aspartame and sacchrin so sucralose is the only sweetener I can use.

I see you are in Northern VA.... you can go to Trader Joes and get Hansens Diet. They have ginger ale, tangerine, and a few others that escape my mind right now. They are wonderful. I am also allergic to aspartame and sacchrin. I get the syrups from either, Cost Plus World Market or Marshalls or TJ Maxx. They are the cheapest!! I mix Hazelnut in my coffee, or get some fruity ones for waters.

And going to WalMart for bigger items is exactly what we are going to do. Instead of schlepping it all on the airplane.

We just booked a couple of shore excursions; one of which is the Snorkel & Sail Fiesta in Cabo. The DCL website shows a price of $45 per person. When the cast member booked the excursion she told me it would be $177 for the three of us ($59 each!). Has anyone else noticed the prices coming up different than the website?

That's pretty funny...It reminds me of a situation that made me crazy...When Texas decided to use hanging placards as permits for legal parking in handicap parking spaces I pointed out to the local motor vehicle office that I was driving a convertible and that a mirror-hung placard was bound to get stolen from my parked car. Her solution was for me to simply stick the placard in the glove box when I parked.....RIGHT!

Reminds me of the day that I went on a job interview years ago. When I went out to my car, the battery was dead and I went back in to call AAA. The office manager that interviewed me walked out with me and we stood there looking around and wondering how the tow truck was going to get to my car to charge the battery. She told me "WHY DON'T YOU PULL THE CAR UP CLOSER TO THE FRONT" and that would be more convenient. I just looked at her and we both started laughing. BTW - I got the job.!!!!!!

Hi Leslie - we may be interested in sharing a ride with you from the port to DL. Where are you staying? We're staying at HoJo's for 2 nights. There will be 2 of us, and I was hoping our driver would be able to make a stop at FedEx right near DL so I could ship a box or two home. From what I understand, Super Shuttle does dedicated van service (instead of shared vans) for extra $$. Also, I've gotten quotes from several limo services, but I'm so afraid to go that route because I don't know which ones are reputable. I, too, am having transportation anxiety . . .

Hi Everyone

I just thought I would give you an update on the name badges we are working on. I will be making name badges for everyone in each sailing party on Jeff's Master List. The name badges will list the persons first name and their disboard id (if one is listed on the Master List). The badges will come in a plastic holder that will also hold your room key (if you want to carry it that way). A custom lanyard will also be included.

We are going to start making the badges soon, so it is critical that you check your info on the Master List and make sure that it's complete. Please make sure that your names and disboard IDs are correct and the way you would like to see them on the name badge.

If you do not want a name badge, please send me a PM. I've got a lot to make and I don't want to waste the materials if you really don't want one.

If your information is not on the Master List and you really want a name badge, send me a PM with your information and I will go with that.

Also, I still have 5 MIAs that I will not be making badges for unless they contact me. They are: CoMickey, portsidemom, BEAV, dianthus and vragland.

WOW it just hit me, two months from today we will be flying to MCO and starting this adventure.

Snow and rain is in our forecast for the weekend. Lynn and I actually have Sat off together, with no classes etc. Will work on our travel log presentation we are giving on 3/15 and start packing for this trip.

Bob, car rental seems to work very well for us, the only problem is their (rental car companies) idea of a full size vehicle and what we bring(luggage) never seem to fit too well together.

FYI, Ken has done a great job on the badges, (“badges we don’t need no stinking badges” sorry I digressed) they look great and I am sure all will be pleased.
