Today we bit the bullet and submitted our passport applications. It will be a huge relief once they should up (approx four weeks, so they say). I am still a bit dizzy after paying the price for the three of us.

For those on the fence; the rates went up $12.00 per person. The Passport guy was mentioning as well he has been hearing horror stories of people having issues in other countries.

WHEN:Tuesday, May 17, 2005, Sea Day #2

WHERE:The Disney Magic, Promenade Lounge, Deck 3 (near the AFT elevators)

TIME: 12:30-1:30 PM

WHAT: You will be making FOUR scrapbook pages in the hour. All supplies will be provided. Come prepared to take home your pages. All you will need to do is add your pictures!

QUESTIONS????Please PM me and I will respond, or ask away here, and I'll fake my way through a logical answer.

WHAT IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO SCRAPBOOK? No worries! Everyone is welcome! This will be an easy, fun, creative time and the worst case scenario......you get to spend quality time with your DisBoard friends and family.

CAN YOU STILL SIGN UP IF YOU HAVEN'T YET?YES! But please PM me with your names and number of scrapbookers attending. Since I am putting together packets prior to cruising, I really need to know the number planning on attending. Also, I will be using the Mini Navigator to have Zazu's Crew post a note on your door the night before to remind you of the time and location (in case of any last minute changes), so make sure I know your stateroom number.

I will be posting a list of all of those who have PM'd me so far or from others (i.e. spouses) who have sent me your name and said you were participating.

I believe we will be doing the scrapbook "grab bag" exchange at the same time. If that changes, I'm sure it will be posted here.

Hey everything on the Magic is low-carb and/or low-fat.

Seriously, what kind of snacks and drinks?
I snack on almonds, macadamia nuts & porkrinds and I drink alot of ice tea with lemon. I like Diet Sprite for soda, but on this cruise, I guess it will be Diet Coke(one of my least favorites).

On second thought..................bring on the chocolate

I will bring along some Hansens Diet Ginger Ale made with Splenda. As well as some Russell Stover Chocolate. And I always bring along flavored syrups made with Splenda... such as Toriani or DaVinci.

I have a feeling that low carb will not last tooo long

Has anyone ever rented a car to take to Port Canaveral. We are thinking about renting one friday at the airport, then dropping off at the port.

Has Disney posted any rates for a one-way shuttle from MCO to Port Canaveral ?

Just my final last reminder that tomorrow (Friday) is the BIG day for ordering our iron on patches!

If there is anyone that is interested in ordering iron on patches still - PM me ASAP so I can get you included. I don't plan on ordering a whole heck of alot extra so these will be definite limited additions!

LOL I can relate... the last (and only) time I made 4 scrapbook pages... it took me almost 3 MONTHS!! This may be some kind of miracle! If anyone can do it... LINDA CAN!!! Even with the creatively challenged!

I sure hope everyone is having a good week, work's been hell this week. To top it off, I'm ready to string up my 14mo monster. She chewed up my only pair of glasses overnight.....its either take a week off work, or drive all day for a week without my glasses...neither option is good for me, and my boss's recommendation is "Be careful!"

That's what we're doing. We have a mini-van reserved through budget. Picking up at MCO Friday and returning to Port Canaveral Saturday. Just over $50.00 - much better option for our crew than anything else I could find.

Still not sure what we're doing in CA though.


Also VERY excited for the scrapbook get together! We'll all be cruisin' before you know it!

Leslie, If there is anything I could to to ease your anxiety I'd do it but even with shipping stuff here, there, and everywhere I 've still got that scooter that takes up so much room it makes me scream...to say nothing of my 4-legged porter.....I finally settled on Supershuttle just to be done with the anxiety...

Sorry folks...thought we were aboard for 14, but looks like we are going to end up staying on our 7 night right after you! We have a couple of schedule conflicts during the 14 day so will have to keep our 7 night after all. You guys have loads of fun...looks like a great group that I wish we could join...maybe on the next year's Panama Canal!

OK questions and comments...

First, IF YOU DON'T HAVE A PASSPORT GO GET ONE THIS WEEKEND. Really, save yourself some grey hairs, hairs in general , and potential stress. I didn't want a passport because now I will be tempted by any cheap fare to anywhere in the world; lack of a passport kept me stateside. It seems in the next few years you will need a passport (or other future instrument) even to go to Canada. Yes it costs money but it will make life so much easier!!! Would anyone on DIS steer you wrong? At least when not attending the wine tasting...

For those wondering about the styrofoam wine containers, the links are a few pages back. I could perfectly fit traditional shape red or white wine bottles plus a regular size bottle of champagne. I'm very happy with the purchase and I'm sure DisneyPinDiva will be too when she enjoys the future contents of said purchase!

EpcotKilterFan - I'm shipping wine, I can't afford to lose that, what would I drink with dinner (and breakfast and lunch hehe)?!?! Where does one find diet ginger ale with Splenda? And the sryups, YUM! I'm allergic to aspartame and sacchrin so sucralose is the only sweetener I can use.

To lighten your airline loads and shipping costs (and if you have a car before the cruise) think about buying regular-sized items at Wal Mart near WDW before you cruise. We are trekking to Wal Mart after a day in the parks on Friday. That way we won't "forget" anything at home and we can buy full size (3 weeks vacation x 5 people = almost everything full size).

Sorry I didn't chime in earlier ( I couldn't locate your prior post). We would love to extend an invite to you. Unfortunately we are out of room. We are renting a car through Happy Limo. With all of the bodies and luggage will be packed like sardines.

Keep us posted when you secure transportation.
