IMPORTANT...
To make sure we get our pins in time for the cruise, I will need to get the payment to Susan by 3/14 the latest. Ideally, we should have the order cut off on 2/14, which would give everyone 3 weeks to get the payment to me. We can extend that by a week, as I am padding this to leave no room for errors. I figure I need the payment by 3/7. Susan says she needs the payment by 3/14, and will order by 4/1, so we will have our pins by 4/29 (this leaves only a 2 week window for error) Once we cut off the orders, I will contact Susan with our total, and then she will get the pricing. I will PM everyone as well as post the price. Initially, I was going to just purchase them, and collect when I pass them out

I know this will come as a complete surprise to everyone, but one of my interests is improv comedy. Since DCL took the improv out of Off-Beat, it's up to us to bring improv back to the Magic. So, I'll be "hosting" some improv games on one of the at sea days TBD. Anyone interested? No experience necessary. It's just for fun. Audience members needed, too, but a minimum drink requirement may be imposed to enhance the comedic value of participants. Must be 18 or older to participate. Some restrictions may apply. Offer valid in 49 U.S. States. Sorry, Tennessee!

NejTheLion = I was thinking about offering to put together a DVD of the cruise - collecting photos and possibly video footage from the cruisers afterwards, making some music videos, slideshows, etc. I'm in the process of desiging and putting up a website doing this, already having done quite a few for assorted family functions. I can make them all spiffy - real cases, color covers, direct color printing on the discs. Some folks are staying at 2 of the most stayed at resorts at the Port
Ron Jons and the Radisson, no official meets have been Set up as of yet but Look for folks all day around the pool area's also several others at the Airport hyatt and plans are in works.

Is there a place on the ship where we can refer to the schedule and also "post" up announcements when we need to ? Seriously, Like a pin up board? Yes, it could be called the Dis board, but do we need something like that? How else will we communicate any potential announcements. What if they change a room for something like the wine tasting or "Cruise line is it anyway?" Is there already something in place that would serve the purpose? It is extremely helpful to me to be able to refer to the Hygene99 list. Thanks Peter. I will miss it on the ship. It kind of ties us together. Guess we could just post on Peter's door. (kidding) comments?

I went to look at the t-shirts on cafe press and could only see the blue design by Catherine. Where is the design from Jen & Jeff ?

I have done a lot of Disney items for get togethers and was told by an Exec. at WDW that as long as we were respectful of the artwork and were not making a profit that they had no problems with a group having t-shirts, bags & so on..

Is this a done deal so that we can order our shirts ??

Its up on zazzle. I don't know if they'll pull it or not. I know Disney has a very lax policy on enforcing copyrights as long as they are not brought to their attention. They don't actively seek out things like this. Course, I still won't go anymore then my own artwork made off pictures taken of the castles or the name "Disney" (I wouldn't use Disney characters).

Cafepress has an overbearing policy, and I can understand why. Disney isn't a company whose lawyer's you want after you. I guess the best you can do is order it from zazzle and hope everything comes out ok. I don't have an option on zazzle to disable the commision, so I'll take whatever I make and donate it to GKTW.

Hi Jeff, Thanks for the clarification. I too had been wondering about WHY they pulled your design. My final button design also makes use of your castles, and uses Disney font in I WAS THERE and MAGIC.

I had planned on using Cafe Press just for t-shirts of my own. I may hit the same road blocks you hit.

We were going to use room 6634's door and place a white board up so that changes could be made. Printed paper works well too, but can get expensive after a while.

Fantastic question Michelle. I would like to propose that we keep it just to adults for a couple of reasons. One, we already have 92 adults who have indicated they would like to participate. If children get added, we may not be able to get an accurate count and DCL will have a hard time finding a place for us to hold the event. Second, I think that this event is meant for us to taste wine, discuss wine, and get to know eachother.

That being said, please let me know if this is not what you all were expecting. We should decide as a group (without flames, please... :flower: )

I agree, if only because I know how adults can get when in the presence of alcohol. I don't think a wine tasting is appropriate for young ones.

I remember a couple of children being at the Sessions wine-tasting on the 10-day and, in my case, it was a little distracting because every time I tried to engage an adult in conversation one of the children would interrupt with either a request to pet Cash or with a question about him... I guess I expected the wine tasting party to be an adult thing like the spa, hot tub, or night clubs.Upon reflection I can tell I didn't sample nearly enough wine because after a few glasses I am unable to carry on an adult conversation anyway...

Just as a personal note, I hope they set this up in a larger room because it seemed like I had to press into chair-moving service any adult who was between my bulky scooter and where I was trying to get...like the wine table or dessert bar... very annoying for all concerned, I think... :wave2:
