2005 WISHWalker Alumni - Prayers Needed - UPDATE - page 2

:grouphug: Your family is in my prayers.

Sue

As today is the scheduled day I thought I would say I am continuing prayers that all is fine.

Edit: I missed the update on the new date. Will continue with positive thoughts, energy and prayers that it works out. Sorry it is delayed.

Susan, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I just know everything will go fine with your surgery and you'll be up and around in no time!

Prayers for Susan & for all of your family. So sorry to hear she is going through this. Please keep us up to date as to how she is doing.

Bumping this for last minute thoughts, prayers and pixie dust.

:worried: Barring unforeseen barriers, Susan will be in the hospital by 7:30 Thursday morning, in surgery at 10:00. It has been a real rough week for her, but I know that she has felt your good wishes, and they are keeping her spirits positive.

We'll let you know how things go, as soon as we find out!

Sending extra prayers tonight and tomorrow for Susan tomorrow. May she have a restful night, a successful surgery, and a quick recovery.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers!

waiting anxiously for news. You're all in our thoughts and prayers.

Well, the surgery is over, and Susan managed to get through it with few problems. A year ago, that may not have been the case, but all that training....it has helped, and I'm certain that recovery from the surgery will be easier than it would have been before.

The doctor was very good and removed two sizable cancerous masses attached to the ovaries. Unfortunately, they were not able to get everything, so the second half of this new marathon will begin next week with chemotherapy. She will be using that same determination and heart as she battles back. We'll all be there with her, mile by mile.

Thank you for the prayers and good wishes. We feel blessed to be part of such a supportive community.

Debbie, Nancy, Susan and Mary Liz

Thanks for posting the update and PD :wizard: for the journey ahead.

:grouphug: Continued prayers for all of you as you go through this together.
Thank you for keeping us updated.
Susan, you can do this you are a WISHer!

Do you know how long Susan will be in the hospotal for?

Hi Karen,
I just sent you a PM. Not sure how long she'll be in hospital, but they originally thought about 5 to 7 days. My brother-in-law only spoke to the doctor for a couple of minutes this afternoon but hopefully will learn more tomorrow morning during the doctor's rounds.
Thank-you to all for being there for us. You have no idea how much it means to come here and feel the love, hugs and pixie dust. What an amazing group of women you are!
Nancy

Extra prayers tonight for the long road ahead. What a blessing for Susan to have such a wonderful and supporting family around her. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Glad to hear that Susan's surgery went fairly well. I hope the chemo goes fairly easily for her & is able to take care of the remainder of the cancer that the surgeon was not able to remove. Prayers & pixie dust to all of you. :wizard:

I want to personally thank you all for your prayers, pixie dust and most of all the amazing level of support. It is the most important thing we need right now! You truly are an amazing group, as I witnessed through your preparations for the marathon.

I really did not receive much more info on Friday than what my sisters-in-law already passed along. We have confirmation that chemo is needed to treat what could not be removed. It is hoped that Susan can have her first treatment while in hospital, but that date depends on some test results and in Susan regaining some strength through the weekend. So we don't know yet how long she is expected to remain in.

As others have told me, Susan has finished the half marathon and now she's going on to complete the full. I have Faith this will be overcome.

Thanks again for everything and I am certain that Debbie, Nancy or Mary Liz will keep you up to date.

I join you and your family in claiming that this WILL BE OVERCOME ! Prayers for all involved - sure hope that Susan is resting well and able to regain her strength quickly so that she can get started on the next step.

GO SUSAN GO - you can reach this goal too!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! Your support is truly getting us through this difficult time. With all of the information we have been getting, there is always at least ONE piece of info that is positive ... and for now, we need to focus on that positive info. We are with her, every mile of this new marathon. Unfortunately, I have a terrible cold and cannot risk Susan catching anything from me. So knowing that she is in hospital 5 minutes from my house and I can't go and see her is tearing me up inside :(

But, my JOB right now is to take care of her kids who are staying with me. And my house is a little  ... but in a GOOD way!

Keep those prayers and PD coming our way!

MaryLiz
