2005 Pop Warner?

Does anyone know the dates for Pop Warner for this year?

According to their website the dates are 12/4-12/10

There is also talk of pushing it back a week but who knows about that for sure. And they usually stay at All Stars, some have flowed over into Pop and also Caribbean Beach.

There is also talk that 50% more will be staying on site this year so they could spill over into more of the moderates, but no one knows for sure on that either.

When you say "pushing it back a week", do you mean to the week before or the week after??? I just want to make sure I'm understanding you right as I am thinking of maybe doing a quick trip sometime between 12/11-17 and staying at a value. However, if Pop Warner is that week, no way for that week!!! Will try to do it another time.

They are football players and cheerleaders who have competitions at Wide World of Sports. Age 8 to 16.

I doubt they will push it back to 12/11 to 12/17. WDW has to block hundreds of rooms for them, it would have to be set by now.

Thanks, my husband said it had something to do with sports. It looks like we will be safe, we plan to leave on the Sunday they will be arriving. I am choosing a mod resort though.

Regarding moving it back a week, I e-mailed popwarner last month asking for the dates of the 2005 super bowl, this was their reply, dated 12/19/04:

We will be arriving on 12/16 so I hope they are gone by then. I don't personally have a problem with them but I have a teenage DS with raging hormones and that's all I need is a slew of pretty girls running around the resort and the parks. Last year we were at Disneyland during a Cheerleading competition and it was the funniest thing I ever saw watching his face.

Is it just the particular resorts that they are staying at or is all of WDW crowded during that week. We intend to stay at a deluxe but is it will be crowded at the parks too, maybe we should change weeks?

I was wondering when do you think we will hear something about the date they will be there the week of the 4th or moving it to the next week..I would think it would soon since disney needs to set the rooms aside for them?

I did mention about them moving it back a week, which I read to mean the week before not after, sorry about that . I had read it here on the dis boards. I will try to locate the threads that I read about that and also the threads about them having more people and spilling over into moderates. Just give me a few minutes to find them.
