2005 Points Grid

Hi,

Does the DVC Points Chart change from year to year, or remain the same? We have recently returned from a stay at the WLV, and are already planning our trip for next year.

Also, I expect that we will need 308 points for our stay in 2005, and it is possible we would need as many as 340. Is it realistic to hope that one DVC member would have this many points to sell?

The points don't go up, but the seasons change a little bit most years. The grid is out, but not on the DIS calculator. One fo the resale sites has the 2005 points listed.

As for the matter of whether one DVC member would rent you 340 point ressie, absolutely. Check out the Rent/Trade board; there may not be VWL ressies right now, but there likely will be at some point.

Then again, perhaps you love it so much you should look into VWL DVC points resale, so you own them and can do this on an annual basis. Last I checked there were some attaractive contracts out there with points banked or usable immediately. Just a thought.

** According to our guide, there is a rule in place that Disney can't raise the overall points in a use year....they can shift them around inside the year, but the point totals will stay the same. This gives them flexibility to change season dates, as needed.

** We use the DVC planner by Caskbill...it's been a great help. I can't seem to locate Caskbill's homepage....I'll repost it when I find it again.
