2005 points charts

The 2005 point charts for the Disney Vacation Club Resorts will be out in Spring of 2004 and the other collections should be out sometime in Fall of 2004.

Considering that in Febuary of 2004 - you can start making reservation for January, 2005 - does this sound reasonable????

Oh I consider spring to start in March.

I though at one time that DVC would always release the next years point 16 months in advance - not just 9 months (if they are out then).

I guess we ALL need to email them and tell them this is TOO late. I am not as worried about the DVC points as the others. I think that is way too late.

So who do we email?

Don't know if that will make a difference. But we have had the points charts available in September for the next 2 years. I don't know why it would take them 6 more months to print out charts.

Something to do with SSR? Doesn't make sense, I know, just wondering out loud.

I'm personally not at all worried about the 2005 point requirements for the DVC resorts. Those who may be a little uncomfortable using the 2004 charts and adjusting as appropriate for weekend/weekdays and the Holidays, can use the charts Caskbill put together in his planner. If DVC were going to do any "point reallocations", I believe there would be a lot more notice than next spring.

Also not too worried about the options in the Disney Collection. With the possible exception of certain categories/rooms on the DCL ships, there shouldn't be any problem getting a reservation for points. The only limitation is availability and as we all know, the Disney resorts have not been selling out a year in advance.

Can't say the same about the Adventurer's Collection or the Conceirge Collection as I have nothing to base an opinion on. Haven't read any reports on this board about availability problems, though.

AFAIK, you can deposit/give up your points right now if you are interested in an exchange to a WORLD Passport Collection Resort. Believe MS will honor the deposit you make now even if the "cost" goes up before the exchange actually takes place. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, I don't see a need to be overly worried over this. JMHO. YMMV.
