2005 February events?

Wanting to go to Disney around February 22, 2005 until February 28. Are there any cheerleader competitions or other events that would bring up attendance?

Were going for 14 days in Feb. Don't know of anything yet. But I have gone early February and early March in the past-- and there are always cheerleading, dance, ect competitions at both times. However, I've never noticed an issue with this.

Remember President's Day week is becoming more and more crowded each year. Unfortunately that is one of my 2 weeks we'll be there. I prefer lower crowds (even if it means early hours). However, DS is off school and we can finally stay 2 weeks w/o him missing 2 weeks.

We were there THIS YEAR 2/27 - 3/6 with the cheerleaders. My understanding is that there are cheer/dance events most weekends from Feb till Easter. The cheer crowds weren't that bad, and I would go again during this time in a heartbeat!

We were there last year first week of March, and if there were any events going on, we didn't notice them! The crowds were surprisingly low actually. We'll be there next year late Feb/early Mar...hoping for low crowds again of course! I don't know of any scheduled events in WDW during that time.

I finally looked at a 2005 calendar so I could get some feel for when we're going. It's looking like 2/10-2/24. I'm treating DH to the Daytona 500 which falls in the middle there. In return we will rent a pool house or condo in the WDW area and get AP's to do Disney the rest of the trip .
