Whew! I have been stuck on jury duty for 3 WEEKS in a tiny town 60 miles away with no tv or computer!! Its gonna take me 3 weeks to catch up on this thread.... but after all that "excitement" I'm really ready to cruise!!

Glad to be back in the real world - hope all is well in yours!

Jill :wave2:

Jill - welcome back! Wow I don't know what I would have done for 3 weeks without a tv or computer. Must have been a big case.

Glad to have you back - keep reading and posting!

Anyhow, to save me some calls, how far in advance can we request sitting arrangements with other people? DOes anyone know? Do you have to be paid in full for that? I hope not. We're still trying to come up with the money...We have until Oct, I think.

.

Dee - I think you have to link reservations which means one party needs the reservation numbers of the other parties. I know Gail was going to handle the early seating group. We'll have to discuss when she gets back. I think you can do it at any time. This is something I think should be done well before we board as it would create a giant mess trying to change everyone after we board.:D

dee47,

Back some time ago (I believe page 113) dancind (Diana) had already started a list for the last seating people who want to sit together. She has not posted in a while but you might want to PM her first to see if she is still interested in keeping the list. Gail is keeping the list for the early seating and Palo brunch. I am going to check when we go on our cruise in April to see the best way to go about doing this besides linking reservations. Let us know what you find out from dancind or check out her list that is posted on page 113.

Everyone have a good day.:)

The challenge for today - can we get to 2400? Only 18 more posts to go. I think we can do it!

Off to work I go. Will check in at lunch time!

Has anyone else had trouble getting on the boards this morning or was it only me?!?

Jill, glad you are back from jury duty. I couldn't image doing that for 3 weeks 60 miles away from home.

 Morning All!!

Just a quick hello before I'm off to work.

Wow, Jill...what a bummer. Hope I never get called for jury duty, it would be a long way for me to travel to get there, too.

Mary, I'll take a really good look at the shirts when I get home this afternoon. Sorry I'm so easily confused.

jilljill, I had trouble too. Had to refresh, but then it popped right up. I couldn't get on any of Disney's official sites yesterday. Don't know what the problem was.

Dee47....since it was raining all day, DS went to a teammate's house to practice. I wimped out and made my husband take him. Guess I missed quite the house. Their "gym" had a full weight room, basketball court, batting cages with professional pitching machines, and video monitors to show them how to improve their swing. Hubby never even saw the main house, but I guess it takes up an entire cul de sac. Must be rough. Apparently, the Dad (owner of the house) is an electrical contractor, does big buildings like schools and hospitals. Wow, and I thought all the money was being made by ER doctors!!!:teeth:

See you all later,
Stacey

GaRry..........T shirts look great ( do they come in childrens sizes )

Do you want to trade a FIRE DEPT T-shirt?

Just a question about the Radisson..........I went to their website, they have a room for $84.00
What type of room is the DIS group getting for $99.00?
It does look like a nice hotel.

Gail.............My family is early seating.

:jumping1:

Hey, I'm getting good at this top of the page thing!!!!!!

:wave2:

Stacey, there you go again being at the top of the page. I think that happened to me many, many pages ago too.

Oh and Mary...........good job in getting the t-shirt designs on the web so that we all can see them and make a decision.

I sent dancind a PM, will keep you updated when I hear back.

My T-shirt vote is 2-C. And as someone else asked -- do you have kids' sizes?

Y'all have a MAGICAL day now!

Yes, I had trouble getting in this am.

My shirt vote is 2-B. GarRy, I meant that we would be bringing our old May 2002 shirts since we already have them, not that we want another set of them with the new dates. I think we'll probably do T-shirts, not sure of the color, but it will be bright!!

And to the many people who asked, yes they have the T-shirts in kids sizes. Don't know for certain on polos, but most shirt shops can get kids polos in limited colors.

Back to the t-shirts, I seem to remember ordering a kids large and kids x-large for my 2 in 2002. They were both pretty big. I ordered a large adult for me and an x-large adult for DH. Generally speaking we (the adults) wear a medium and large. GaRry thought the t-shirts ran a little small. I'd tend to agree for the adult sizes, but I'd say the kids ran pretty true. DD's shirt still fits her pretty well (a 14-16 child size, and she weighs 80 pounds now, at 5 foot 2 or so).

Been a nutso couple of days. DD is having multiple kinds of trouble at school, including being bullied by a group of girls. I really hate the schools approach (no adult saw it, we don't know how she got that knot on her leg)! This despite the fact that several girls at the lunch table saw this kicking and poking occuring, and DD told two teachers on her way out of the lunchroom! We're actually considering pulling her and going to a private school, since the atmosphere is making a difficult situation worse! Have I mentioned before how much I hate the 6th grade girl issues????

Have a great day everyone! Lisa

Good morning everyone.

Lisa-is your DD in 6th grade now. My DD Jamie is 11 (12 in April) and in 6th grade. Maybe they can hook up? Of course, she still owes Gail's daughter (Emily-10) an e-mail, I'm going to have to bug her about that.

Jill-what was that exciting case you were on. Obviously not the Martha Stewart one. Too bad, you could have been our creative consultant for the cruise. Martha's is probably redesigning the courtroom while she sits there everyday!

Hey, I went to Sam's Club last night and they just got in their 2004 swimwear. Bought the DD a great swimsuit for the cruise for $11 and bought me a new one for $19 (tag from Speedo $79).
Better spend now, may not have any $$$$ by the time we get on the ship!

My stepdaughter (Sheri) who was here for the weekend is going to (hopefully) make us all flannel Christmas pants to wear for breakfast early Christmas morning. Her idea was to have everyone wear to bed Christmas Eve! I told her we could all head for an early breakfast in our flannels! So guess she will be making 13 pairs of pants. I guess she has some real easy pattern to make them. I'll find out if anyone is interested.

Okay, I got to get payroll ready.

Talk to you all later.

Linda

Linda, that's a great idea. I never thought of going to breakfast in comfy flannel pj's - just like being at home.

If you need a pattern, let me know. I'll get it from Sheri. She said it is really easy.

You must be going for comedian of the year thinking I would use a pattern :rotfl: :rotfl:
I was thinking more on the lines of new Disney ones.

Yep, that's my idea too. But if the stepdaughter is willing to make 13 pairs, I'm going to take her up on it. My investment will probably be only about $40 instead of $200 (if I could find all the same at about $15 each).

Thanks

Linda

Yes, DD is in 6th grade now. She's interested in hooking up with kids before the cruise. She and DS bug me a lot on Friday's asking if there are any kids they can chat with. I told them that when we get close to cruise time, maybe we can hook the kids up in one of the chat rooms.

And Linda, you might find that those comfy flannel jammies are way too hot on the cruise! I tend to sleep in knit boxers and a t-shirt, and I confess to bopping up to topsiders wearing them a time or two! But flannel jammies would be WAY to hot with those temps. Maybe a nice plaid knit to convey the same feeling??

lneely- No, not Martha Stewart! It was a double murder hate-crime, not much fun at all, but it was pretty big news for this neck of the woods. And yep, he was found guilty.

Swimwear already? I got excited yesterday at Costco when I saw the snorkle gear out. Guess I know what the Easter bunny can bring my boys this year....

:sunny: Hope you are all having sunny weather today!
