The ballad of post 1000

Way back when on post 900 that crazy chick WDWLVR (known henceforth in this storry by offered up the challenge to get to 1000 by the end of the year.

The thread was slowing down until we hit the one year mark on 12/18 and then gaRry the firefighter made it his goal to claim #1000.

Princess jilljill wanted it to be hers! Others started to look at it as well.

Christmas morning had come and gone and Santa had brought no one the gift of 1000 yet.

WVMD - We have a couple of things in common: my DH thinks I'm insane when I sit here and drinking wine (sounds like you like good wine too, the kind with corks not screw caps).
gaRry, I haven't brought up the cork issue in a long while.
Mary, at this rate we may make it to 2000 rather quickly. Do you think we should move the goal date from 3/1/04 to 2/1/04?!?
