Guess what! I emailed the DCL President to ask him about arranging special group things for us like private movie screening. I am anxiously awaiting his reply.

I think its time I take a break from the disboards. Not on purpose but I think I ticked some people off on the community board and made myself look like an idiot. Dont understand why people are so mean in some emaisl I have gotten from people on here and it seems like lately by posts are somwhat being ignored. I think its time I take a break.

Use to be a little thing but got turned into a big thing on the disboards. Some of them are being very rude. No matter if I apoligize or not I sitll keep getting response, saying that was bad, you are push, no wonder they think you bad.Blah Blah.

Matt, don't know all the details and don't really need to. But,
hosting a talk forum is a BIG job and not one suited to someone (including myself) with limited time, money, tech savvy and a normal skin!! You need elephant skin, bullet proof!!!


My advice, move on and have fun on the cruise and forget all the "stuff"

I'm on the phone with DCL right now --- Antiqua Dolphin Excursion is cancelled --- I'm just sick --- that was supposed to be our girls' big Christmas present -- I've been keeping it a secret all this time!!! So if you had it booked you need to call now -- they have a special one on St. Martin you can switch to. The only problem is it leaves at 10:45 am and it doesn't get back until 5:30. Makes it tight for Main dining and I guess no ornament exchange for us.

Somebody needs to tell Gus. That was a big part of his DD's trip, wasn't it? Is he still around, or did he already leave?

I have always been great at it and feel I am pretty tough. I just hate when people change things around and blow thiings out of proportion. I am not givin up on the forums now. Do you know how much money I have paid out!

HINT TO MAKE YOUR LAST NIGHT EASIER

I know, who wants to think about the last night of the cruise already....

but I've done this in the past and it's so easy.

I pack return address labels so I can stick them on the luggage tags they give you for the last night.

That way all I need to fill out that night is our stateroom number and the number of bags we'll have (i.e. 1 of 45, 2 of 45..etc)

I'm editing the Teen post above to read "unwrapped presents". Kevin just called to inform me that wrapped presents are a no-no for security reasons. Adding to list: paper, tape, scissors. Oh joy.

Is that because of the airport? I have taken wrapped Christmas presents on board (packed in a suitcase) for the past two Christmases without any issues.

Good advice, Kevin. Sometimes the biggest problem on these boards is that someone takes something out of context or doesn't understand the manner in which it was meant. The typed word is SOOOOO difficult to understand right now and lacks key elements of communication such as body language and facial language. For example, people probably can't tell from my posts that I'm a much bigger smart alek than I come across as on these forums!!

Most times I have trouble heeding my own advice of "shut your mouth and drop it!"
