Good Morning!
I slept in this morning, and it looks like I've missed everyone, by a long shot.
If I reach 5000 posts by cruise time, do I write profoundly, or can I unleash Lisa?? LOL
Tina...:D just call them "Winter White"

And flip-flops with sparkles ARE dress shoes!!! DD Jordan is wearing them! I would if I could...can't have anything between my toes.....

VIRGIL...If you needed to fly somewhere, you could have come here. Golf course right next door!!

Jim....our dog's name is Molly, too!

Ohminnie....I was thinking about what you said about Maggie....I take Molly in next Wednesday, too. The "Pet Resort" called yesterday to ask me to have her vaccinations faxed over. Check another to-do off the list.

LeiLani: If I can't find a Swan area...I'll call you. Actually, I'll call you when we get to the park. Your idea sounds great!

Okay...guess I should start on my list for today.....

Have a great day, everyone!!!

Patty...yes, that was Diana (look above)....she has us in the Disney Magic Home for the Aged But Young at Heart. :Pinkbounc

I tried to get the 'view' today and screen is black. Do I need to do something? I was hoping to send the link to my sis. Then when we are in KW I can get off the ship and wave to her.

That's the forecast for Cape Canaveral. Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day for cruising!

Makes me smile just thinking about it!!

OK I'm sitting here at the airport - remembered that my Palm has wifi - and what do I do - but check the thread. I think I need professional help :rotfl:

September 2003: We had just returned from our second cruise on the Wonder, and I was reading the boards and saw a post titled "DCL's First Ever 10 Night Christmas Cruise", started by someone named Ohiominnie.
At the time, I felt grateful to have been on the two Disney cruises that we did go on, and I didn't even DARE dream of 10 whole nights on the Magic. But those words written by Ohiominnie would not quit playing through my head.

I booked the cruise and started reading the thread. All of these people that I was reading about already seemed to know eachother so well that I didn't think a "Newbie" like me would ever fit in.
There was some guy named Goose, who couldn't type and talked about screw-top wine, yet his job was to save other people's lives. There was a serious-sounding M.D. from W.V., there was a nice lady who I learned loved dancing and corked wine. There was someone called jilljill, whose real name was neither Jill, nor Jill. And, there was a lady who appeared to love Walt Disney World, and seemed to be the glue that held it all together, the voice of sanity in a totally crazy group.

A group who welcomed me with open arms.

A group who now, over a year later, has laughed together, cried together, prayed for eachother, yelled at eachother, shared secrets, shared good times and bad, and yet have remained together and welcomed many, many more "Newbies" with open arms.

I consider our group to be some of the closest friends that I will ever have. Anything that happens in my life, my first thought is "I can't wait to tell the group".

I believe that we have already "embarked" on our journey. We did that over a year ago.
Next week we will reach our destination. A trip that I know I will never forget.
And I owe it all to those open arms.
Thank you all, so very much.

I know my "mates" in the nursing home will someday thank you, too, when I say "Did I ever tell you about going on DCL's First Ever 10 Night Christmas Cruise?"

FOR THE FOUR THOUSANDTH TIME!!!!

Stacey:flower1:

NO FAIR STACEY! HERE I AM AT WORK THIS MORNING AND TEARS ARE RUNNING DOWN MY CHEEKS!!!

I'm so happy we got to pre-meet in Vegas and meet you and Jay. Can't wait to meet your kids. I feel the same as you. I think Robert thinks I'm crazy cuz I talk about our "extended family" every night to him about what happened on the boards! I think I actually have more planned with all of you then with all of Robert's kids on the ship!

I can't believe that in only 8 days at this time our plane will be headed to Florida. Now, if I just had more time to get ready!!!

Love all you guys! Linda

I'm an avid scrapbooker as well. Use the 12 x 12 Creative memories albums. What I did with the navagators was color copy the front page of each day at 50% to include in the scrapbook and then put them all in a sleeve in the back. Our 8 day land/sea vacation took about 50 pages to scrapbook. I'm kind of worried that I'll have to do this one in two albums!

I love your pages Mary. I would have never known they were done on the computer.

What a great idea. I'll plan on stealing your idea and doing that too! I might have to have 2 Creative Memories albums from this cruise also! I don't know if I can get it all in one book.

I'll bring you a bunch of "freebie" stuff to from CM.

Great Post Stacey!!! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I think you really summed up what this past 18 months has meant to all of us!

Well - I'll be back tonight....

OK - Here's my agenda for the day - I have to fly to Pittsburgh and then fly home.....:rotfl: I wanted to keep my elite flight status.... and I screwed up again.... I was 2 segments short.... so I spend my day off flying - reading - relaxing.... I did this last year - and didn't catch it - but they were nice enough to say - "Oh, this happens on occasion, we'll just let you have elite status if you promise to not let it happen again" :earboy2: I couldn't call and ask for another reprieve. Well for $100 - it was worth just doing it. DW thinks I'm crazy - but she doesn't fly nearly as much as me - and doesn't understand the benefit.

Oh well... Have a great Thursday!!!!

LeiLani - got your PM - I'll send my cell when I return. If anybody else is going to be at MVMCP and wants to share cell numbers - let me know. I already have LeiLani's, OM's and Stacey's.

Virgil-I've done the same thing! MY DH thinks I'm crazy...............but every single one of those First Class Upgrades reminds me that it is worth it!

TOP!!!!

Stacey, what a touching post. Congrats on the 4000. I too cannot wait to meet everyone in person.

Paul, why haven't we arranged something here as we only live 10 miles apart? Bit late for me to be thinking of this now as we leave tomorrow afternoon. We will be staying at the Embassy Suites at the airport Fri night for an early morning flight Sat. They have a "park and fly" package that competes $$ wise with just parking at the airport.

Well, the good news is you should probably have some connections in the field you are in!

Off to run errands for a few hours. Buy some books for the trip (as if I will have time to read with everything that is planned :D ), gift for the mailman, and find an ornament for the exchange. Hope everyone is having a great day :Pinkbounc

I don't know why we have never gotten together. I guess we have just been really busy. We take a red eye out Monday evening. Step daughter is driving us to the airport. She'll probably be trying to make us feel bad for leaving all the kids at home for the holidays. Don't care! (Well I kind of do). Anyway what sadness I might have of leaving them at home I'm sure will be more than made up when I meet all of the DIS family!

I would guess from this post that DrHug is MrsMork's Dear Husband? Welcome to another DH!

Too funny that he says he "finally found you". The thread or his wife?

Welcome DrHug! So you've come to meet the nuts who are planning all your vacation days for you, have you?

Let's see, I think you must have free time on Monday between 2 and 2:15. AM that is!!

The Teen board just hit 900 posts, looks like they could make it to 1000! I posted to help, but I think it would be nicer if the teens did it themselves. So please encourage your teens, and nearly teens, to go over there and post a few. They might wind up with some new friends, too!
