No inlaw troubles on my side. My mother on the other hand drives me batty. Since we'll be spending the 3 days just before the cruise with her, I will certainly be looking for my space, so Sue... I can relate. I can't imagine her living with me full time!

DH just went up and checked on the kiddos. They've both fallen asleep, so I'll head off to bed now too. I'll let you know in the morning what the verdict is!

Good evening! Still here...just got home.

My goodies from the holiday gift shop (in Vegas) have started to arrive. Linda...the new camera is here!!

Sue....I love my Mom so much, it's hard to imagine that some of the time, I want to strangle her. Space is a good thing. And I really do love her more than life itself. She's having hip replacement in January, and I thought I'd go stay with her (in Nebraska....brrrr) for 3 weeks to help out. I ended up making plane reservations for 2.5 weeks. 3 just seemed way too much time to be in her small house, in the winter, not able to go anywhere.
Vent away!

Going to sign off. Jordan needs the computer for homework, and I need to put a few things in the suitcase before I forget them. Then, I'm going to play with one of my new "toys". Speaking of which......gaRry!!!! Where are my Marines????

Hi Everyone - DD is now feeling much better. She even made it to school this afternoon. Must have been all the prayers and good wishes...

Linda - so sorry to hear about your friends son. What a terrible tragedy.

We leave on Friday and I have so much to do that I just can't even think about it. So here I am sitting at my computer ... I know everything will come together, it always does. It's the pixie dust.

I went to the weather forecast site and it looks like Orlando should be in the 60s and 70s in the daytime... That works for me. It is -32 Celcius here today.

My confession for today is that I missed reading a bunch of pages because I forgot to keep track of where I had left off and accidentally signed out...

We are going on the Christmas Cruise 12/18 and saw from some of the post that one of the night will be Pirates Night. Is this info accurate? Are we supposed to dress up for it? What about the other nights? Where can I go to get these info? Thanks.

Welcome Rolyjp - yes there will be a pirates night with a special deck party. This is scheduled for Wed. 12/22 - the night we leave St. Maarten.

Although the only thing that both of them ate was the sherbert, and I don't know if you could get contaminated frozen stuff.

It's possible. I remember around here, about 9 yrs ago, there was an outbreak of Salmonella. They ended up tracing it to Schwann's ice cream (the stuff they deliver to your door)

As you can see from my sig, some of us are going to have fun with the whole cruise and especially Pirate Night! ARRR

Got my Buckthorn Varlet outfit already to go!!

From what I've seen/read, the wait staff will dress up in the pirate garb and then the party will move up to deck 9 or 10 (can't remember) for more of a good thing.

I've got an idea. Maybe we can leave my mom with your mom sometimes. Love my mom to pieces, but 10 days is a long time in close quarters. My mom is a perfectionist and it gets to me when she hounds my dad about everything. I'm more like my dad....just get it done so it's done and don't worry about everything being perfect. My mom hardly ever gets anything done b/c she spends all of her time and energy either planning how to do it or doing it over and over and over b/c it isn't coming out right.
