Is anyone in the same boat as us.....NOT started to pack yet?
:scared1:
Nope! Haven't started packing yet. (Pam's not here to do it for me!)
We take a red eye out next Monday evening so I'll probably start packing Monday morning! LOL!!!!

I'm on page 1287 only so I have some reading to do but I just thought I'd share what happened this weekend. It was our Christmas weekend with my family coming to spend the weekend at our place. We had a sleigh ride and did the turkey, etc... All was well, except then DD got sick. Every half hour for twelve hours... (of course, this was overnight) ... She seemed fairly dehydrated by morning, so I took her to emergency and sure enough they put her on an IV. We just got home and she's sleeping but feeling alot better. Just a bit weak...

While at the hospital, my DH called to say that our friends from last year's cruise (and that we were planning to cruise with this Christmas) called and told us that her husband passed away suddenly last week. I can't believe it and am still in shock! We talk to them every Saturday but missed last Saturday because we were out of town ... I haven't told DD yet because I know she's going to be devastated and thought she should get a bit stronger first so that she can call her friend (their DD is really good friends with my DD - they were inseparable last year and were so looking forward to spending this cruise together)... I feel so sad for them and helpless...

Well, I'll try to catch up on the posts while DD is still snoozing...

That is such terrible news Annie. I am so sorry to hear that.

I hope your DD recovers quickly.

Well, gee that was a quick one.

Ok, something a bit harder, Where am I at now? And this one has to be VERY specific.

Cape Canaveral area?
I know I'm still behind.....some one already guessed it in real time right.

OK Mary, let's all of us go on a little shopping spree (did I say that, cough, cough) in St. Marteen!!

WE aren't diving there. It's DW day!! :bitelip: puckerup:

Good for you.

Admit defeat and get it over with. Buy her something nice that will make her happy early because it's a long cruise with a small cabin.

What ever it is it is a small price for happyness. :groom:

How many pages did we do tonight? The morning group is going to be really mad. And this wasn't even our "real" late night chatters!

We are use to it. That's one reason I get up at 3 am, just to go through all the night time posts.

The circles under my eyes are from lack of sleep just trying to read all the posts.

Stacey, DD licked the shrimp. And then she ate them. So far, she's still alive. I guess she's good to go for lobster.

I think you better run out and get some lobster tails for this weekend and try them out. Better be safe about it. While you are there you better get some scallops too. She might be eating those on the cruise as well.

Oh my gosh, no!! Unfortunately I do not have scuba children. Mine are quite picky. They'd rather walk on hot coals than eat a shrimp!

DS & DD will be glad to help clean their plate for them.

So far...BOTH cruises...that's what Jared ate every single night! I kid you not.

So sorry, but it is a lot cheaper for you. Since Matt and Lisa have gotten a taste of the good food they have never gone back. It does get expensive when you are buying shrimp, scallops, filets, etc for 4.

I know it is our fault for making them try the good stuff, but it did seem like a good idea at the time.

I'm thinking tomorrow morning, that's three cups of coffee!!

Shared T.O.P. with Ohminnie!!

:flower1: Well I wasn't that far off here! Last night the way you were going I figured 10 pages when I get up in the morning. I just finished reading all the Fun, ur I mean posts! It was 11 pages!

It was a one Large Ice Coffee read

we slept with the heat a little too high last night - there was such a chill in my bones from yesterday - plus hey we want to get in the mood for the cruise - warm and toastie! :boat:

today they are forcasting a snow storm for us here in Boston - and right now it is 25 out there and not supposed to get much warmer................ thank goodness we are under the 2 weeks here - makes the cold easier to deal with!

I'll log back in on and off while at work - hopefully no one with pop in and catch me..................

Vicki, you had major surgery! You mean you could only milk one week off out of it?

I have to go back to finish some thing so I can leave on the 16th for vacation. I promised my surgeon I won't do any direct patient care things. (Just desk work stuff) I think my VP would have liked to see me come back last Friday. Not planning to do a great deal but I do have a couple of things to finish up.

She didn't bat an eye at the request to lick the shrimp. I think she considered the source. She did say that they didn't taste as good as she had imagined all these years. I told her to hold out for lobster.

What did she expect after she had it on her arm for 30 minutes. :cool1:
