It's time to get DW and DD up. DD has a gymnastic event in Orlando. I don't know what it is, I just drive. After that we are heading to MGM to see the Osborn lights and to do some Pirate shopping.

We sail in 2 weeks!

Time is flying by now! 2 weeks from today we should be waking up in Vero Beach and ready to head up to the port. I hope the crew of the Disney Magic know what they are in for with this great group.


I see Virgil was awake before me this morning! As is Vicki! The more the merrier - let's all shout that we sail in 2 weeks!

Mary - yes - I was up before you - but it was only because I had to work at 7am... One of the reasons I couldn't stay up and chat with the West Coasters.....


ScubaDad - DW is the early riser.... she'll be up at 6am every morning.... I'll sleep until something important comes up... you know... golf, diving.... something...

Funny, but true. Now the pressure is really on for us to get there early. Of course that will be the one day that I will actually be able to sleep in, but NO...DW will be getting my butt out of bed.

Hey, if you guys aren't at the extreme front of the line I'm going to be sorely disappointed!! One way or the other it will be mentioned over and over throughout DIS history ....

No, Jim doesn't like "mush". I tend to buy mushy cards for him for birthdays, anniversary's, etc, but I think he likes the funny ones much better. Me, I like the mushy ones.

DW and I have picked out the same cards for anniversary, Xmas, etc... on more than one occasion.... Sometimes we think so much alike it's scary... other times... we're polar opposites....

Two weeks from now we sail. Two weeks ago was the day after Maggie developed her seroma. Two weeks ago was the OSU-Michigan game (which OSU won, in case anyone forgot!!)

Tell me about it. I was born in the year of the Tiger, talk about protective. I lived in South Korea awhile before I met my DH and my Korean friends thought I would never find a mate strong enough. Course my DH was born in the year of Dragon....that wins.

My DD Lisa (10) will want to ask you about South Korea. That's where she was born. She is currently learning to speak Korean from our Minister's wife who is teaching the language to her son. He can speak Korean, but can't read or write it. So, while she is teaching her son, she is teaching Lisa. She just started that a few months ago, so she doesn't know a lot yet.

My DD Lisa (10) will want to ask you about South Korea. That's where she was born. She is currently learning to speak Korean from our Minister's wife who is teaching the language to her son. He can speak Korean, but can't read or write it. So, while she is teaching her son, she is teaching Lisa. She just started that a few months ago, so she doesn't know a lot yet.

I would like to meet her and you. I lived in Seoul (not military related) and have very special memories of the people and the country. I think I gave away my language books years ago but will hunt around as I look for our luggage.


Also for the rest of the Scuba family. I also lived on Water Island (just off St. Thomas) for awhile. I worked in a Scuba shop taking Cruise tourist out on dives and of course selling TShirts. Ahhh that was the life.

Cool! Are you diving this trip at all? There is a group of six DIS members plus a few other DCL divers that will be diving as much as possible at the stops.
I'm especially looking forward to diving St. Lucia. Haven't dove there yet and have heard good things about it.

I'm back after my morning nap. Heading to Orlando for the day.

Two pieces of sad news this morning.

First, I had to turn on the furnance. I hope it warms up before you all start heading down. It is going to be in the 50's tonight. Yes, regardless of what you all think, that's COLD.

Second, Disney just increased their one day ticket price by 9%. It's up to $59.
