Happy Sunday Everyone!
I asked this question before, but never got an answer. Now I have been reading my documents and it does confirm what I thought. The Captains Gala is the most formal night. That would make our formal night the 26th and Christmas semi-formal???
Hmm.. no docs here so no way to confirm that or not yet. But I hope that IS the case. Would put all our plans back the way we wanted them.

That is a clever idea to set up another board. DIS Board withdrawl is a serious disease. Glad someone figured out the cure.

It wasn't really a cure. More of a palliative treatment. I'm more of an enabler when it comes to DIS board addiction. ;)

Well, the Rockettes last night were PHENOMENAL. After the show I decided that when I grow up I want to be a Rockette. But, then I found out you have to be 5'6" and I miss it by 1/2". Guess it's for the best b/c I have NO idea how to dance. They did have some men out there for some of the numbers (Rockdudes, I guess) and when they danced I thought of Kevin and Diana! :)

Also, one thing I noticed...well, I was high, so maybe that was part of it (not high as in DRUGS, high up in the balcony) but...anyway....from my vantage point, the Rockettes weren't any better than the dancers in a Disney show or parade. :)

Nick has two shows today...1 and 2:30. My parents are coming down for the 2:30 show and then I'm heading to Cleveland with them after that. The "real" Santa is at their mall. The guy is incredible...looks just like Santa, is very patient and kind, and speaks something like 6 languages AND sign language. We haven't missed him once since KT was born, so we're going up again. Not sure how many more years the kids will want to go see him. We'll probably be up there until Tuesday morning, so try not to chat too much!

Mary--can't believe you're packed! And, for all those who wonder, I too will be recycling my dinner clothes (after all, they are only worn a couple of hours) and will also have to do laundry on the ship.

Vicki--I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Scuba--glad your trip went well. Filet in the rainforest? Was that filet of BEEF or some exotic rainforest animal? ;) ;)

No docs here yet either. Maybe by the time I get home!! :earboy2:

Ok Just to clarify - we are not 100% packed.

I did test packing for the garment bag. Just to see what would fit and what wouldn't. All those clothes are back on the rack in the dining room. Some of them will go to the dry cleaner this week.

What is packed is the suitcase which has the shoes, one toiletry bag, underwear, shorts and t-shirts. I use the large (2 1/2 gallon) zip lock bags to put everything in (that way if the bag is searched TSA agents aren't touching my underwear). :scared1:

That is packed and ready to go.

My carryon has our snorkel masks, snorkels, our 2nd toiletry bag (much smaller) and underwear and clothes for that first night (in Vero Beach) so we don't have to open up the large cases).

She's downplaying this some, we are about 90-95% packed. We did at one point yesterday have it all in bags so in a way we are done, just the garment bag is back on the rack to avoid wrinkles.

There was an article in todays newspaper about the airlines restrictions on baggage and weight limits. I'm sure you all know that they exist, but a call or visit to the airlines of your choice website would be a good idea. I'd hate to get up to the counter and be charged an extra $20-$60 just because our bags weighed more than the 50# limit. I'm pretty sure American and Delta have the 50# limits on their luggage.

Air Blue and Southwest have the most generous limits, 70# per. SW will let you take three 70# bags for free. I think we will be up there on "our" limits. Clothes, wine, scuba equipment, christmas gifts.......... ARRRRR when will end!! :charac2:

Question for gaRry/Vicki

I know you have a lot going on so this isn't the most important question in the world. Just wondering if the shirts will be done in time for mailing? We'd really like to wear ours to the port. Also don't forget to let us know what we owe so we can get a check to you.

Thanks!

Mary I think we should have the shirts in time to mail. I just hope I have everyones address. I know some have pm'd them which I have saved in a word doc. (knew I would lose them with the board upgrade) I hope, now that I will be off work next week to have them and get them mailed out. Gayle (the shop owner) knows I hoped to mail them the first week of Dec. I will check with her tomorrow. We can just include the totals in everyones package, if that is ok with all.

Vicki

Vicki -thanks. I just sent you our address by pm (just in case you don't have it). Thank you!

Kevin- love the picture in your signature! That's the Pitons in St. Lucia right? Can't wait to see them in person!

Man you're Sharp!! Yes it is, I wanted to get into the mood and thought a little scenery was the way to go. :boat:

ROOM CHANGE ALERT

I just got off the phone with my TA.

There was too much talk about doing laundry here.

Our room was beside a laundry room. It has now been changed to a room not adjacent to one.
So go ahead......bring lots of clothes, make them dirty, do lots of laundry.

Mary.........

I know its probably too late for the navigator, but we are now in # 1047.
TA says its nice and quiet and very close to the excursion off ramp and the elevators as well.

Have a great day everyone.

Mark found something that is so cool. Under options (found under User CP) is an advanced edit option. It lets you type thing like like in Word.

You can change the font, size and color with just a click and no codes.

Very cool!

I love the new boards!

I just wrote a whole long thing, and it wouldn't post.

SO....

I'll narrow it down... Jay is home and wants to go to the local ArtFestival. I'll be back later.

Have a great day!

That would be awesome! Remember that we fly out very early on the 17th so we need them to arrive before that. If we can't get them until that day we'll make do and wear our DIS shirts. I just want to be easy to find in case people want their buttons/navigators early.
