Man, our milestone posts are all messed up. I had 17,000, but if you look back, I really had 17,001!! That's because this is now counting ACTUAL posts rather than replies. Our milestones were based on replies.

This is going to take some getting used to, that's for sure!

Ok so you guys know I like playing with stats. Here are the milestones. First person mentioned is the one by the way we have been doing it. Second person is who the new board says has that actual number. Sometimes it is the same person - sometimes not. Figured we could share!

Here's my docs story.

Called Disney today asking for my UPS tracking number on my docs.

So I looked up my history.

Mailed on Monday, and received and signed for on Tuesday. Delivered to New York ...... nah ...... delivered to Deerfield Beach, Florida.

So now I'm pissed that my docs are floating around in Florida with my personal info on it. I call back Disney and ask what happened.

15 minutes later Disney figures out what happened. My travel agent (out of Texas) called Disney on the 17th telling them to mail the docs directly to me, unfortunately the docs were already printed and then mailed out to my travel agent's US headquarters in ............ Deerfield Beach, Florida.

So my TA from Dallas calls me back an hour later and explains the process to me ...... they review the docs at HQ to make sure they are right, yada yada yada ......they will mail them out Monday so I should receive them by Friday of next week. I said ...... no way

She said, they are right, no need to worry. You really don't NEED them until the day before you leave, why so important to have them right away? and it costs $35 to overnight them.

I responded ...

1 - everyone on the boards is getting theirs, so I WANT mine (think she understands, "the boards"?

2 - I then said that it will cost HER $35 to overnight them to me

Needless to say, they will be mailed out Monday, and I will be getting them on Tuesday

I felt I had to share this

I'm back...just got caught up reading. David, I wouldn't have thought to call DCL and get a tracking number!

I'm trying different fonts. May as well have fun with this! I don't feel as bad as I did earlier.

I will wear my tennies, have a pair of water shoes, black sandals and white sandals! Guess I'll just rotate the skirts.

Anyway....taking the kids to have dinner with Ruthie and Phil. They all want to watch a movie at Ruthie's afterward. I had withdrawals, and would rather just come back here. Haven't decided yet.

Back later, one way or the other. Everyone may be in bed by then.

Oh...and Paul.....YES...we wear clothes to Christmas parties here. We live in the sticks, not a nudist colony!

Different font, and made it change color, too!! Whoo hoo this is fun!!

One of the reasons we use Dreams is because of their 'direct' policy. Everything is handled direct between us and Disney as far as money and anything documentation wise. Payments are processed directly to Disney by them, and any documentation sent from Disney is sent straight to us.

That, by their policy, eliminates exactly the kind of trouble that David's having.

Well, DS and I are back from Costa Rica. Just arrived back tonight and how things have changed. One good thing about the board being down is that I don't have as much to read tonight.

Had a great time in CR. Spent three days rafting and in the rain forest. Had filet on Thanksgiving night in the rain forest. How cool it was. Rafting was the best I have ever done. The river was constant rapids. Very little break between rapids.

Lodge was great, even had lights and a private hot shower.

To bad DW is not here tonight. She is in Tampa with DD doing a gymnastic event. I found out she does not read her emails, but will get my messages if I post to DIS. Sad.

Next Trip....10 days of Holiday Magic!

I'm bringing the last two books in the Clan of the Cave Bear series (Plains of Passage and Shelters of Stone). I read really fast, so I wanted BIG books. I've read the whole series at least 4 times, but it's been about a year since I've read the last two. Happy to join in the exchange.

We read that series. There is some pretty hot stuff in that book. The Clan was very advanced.....if you know what I mean

Whew!!! Took me awhile to figure out why I couldn't post anything. Turns out it was an AOL problem. We still haven't gotten our docs yet, so much for the alphabetical theory (Banks) or location (2 1/2 hours away). Anyway, I forget what the theme night schedule was and don't have time to go way back and find it. Any help reminding me when formal, pirate nights, etc. are?
