Doctor.....is it a bad sign if you climb a hill, and have to stop to catch your breath, and let your heart quit pounding???

Our property is all hills. There are tons of old mines up there. Have to always keep an eye on the kids, they could round a corner, and end up like the goat with the railroad tie attached!!!

And my loving husband did a marvelous job on my new outhouse! It is a joy to use. But does that really count as an anniversary gift???

I think we have Christmas shopping 99% done! ALL KT wants is an iPod (thanks again, Virgil!) So I think we're going to get Nick a digital camera. The boy LOVES taking pictures, and he's quite good at it....sees things in a different way than most people (I mean, what other kid--at the age of three--would document that his pacifiers were at the Orlando airport??)

Anyway, I think this is going to end up saving me a ton of money in film processing!!

ohiomickey says he'll take the cruise as his gift....check another one off the list as "done"

One of those cute young guys out there is only 2 years older than Megan....
I would never want my son to race. Just too doggone scary.
He thinks he's going to own the welding shop one day. Little does he know, he's going to be a doctor!

(Someone has to keep me in the manner to which I have become accustom)

Happens to me every morning, Stacey! And we don't have a single hill in our yard. I take Maggie out. She prefers to do her business in the FARTHEST corner of the yard.....then it hits her!! THE PAPER!!! THE NEWSPAPER HAS BEEN DELIVERED!!! And she takes off at breakneck speeds, me running behind her as fast as I can to avoid being dragged along the ground. She gets to the end of the driveway and snags her prize!! Then darts as quickly as possible to the BACK door (of course!) but not without changing directions suddenly and abruptly several times to avoid the things that spook her (i.e. those big, scary green garbage cans)

By the time we get back I'm huffing and puffing and ready to go back to bed!

Ah, I remember standing on our deck when I was in high school....looking over my parent's lovely property. And I told my mom to never sell the house, that I wanted it. She told me I couldn't afford it. And I said "I'm going to be a nurse. It's inevitable that nurses marry doctors."

Unfortunately I didn't forsee all of the student loans that come along with "marrying a doctor."

Ohminnie.....Jay and I are giving eachother the cruise as a gift. That guarantees that I actually get a gift this year! (Other than a new out house).

The kids are only getting a couple of small things in their stockings. They'll find things they will want on the islands, so that can be part of their gifts.
It's such a nice feeling to have some of that done, isn't it?

Mentioning the pacifier made me think about Jordan. When she was little, she always had 3 of them. One in her mouth, and one in each hand. A pair and a spare.
One night, she was maybe not quite two....we went in her room, she had "lost" her binky. We looked everywhere, couldn't find it. So we gave her another one.
The next night, she lost it again, only this time she was laughing at us as we searched. Seemed a little odd, because usually, if she lost one, she cried. Jay went over to her, started searching, she had put it down the pant leg of her pajamas....and burst out laughing when Jay found it!!
That was back when she was cute and clever.............

Who is getting excited? The cruise is getting so close. Just imagine in a few weeks people will start getting there documents! I cant belive it. Anyone arrange stuff to do on the islands. We typically dont book through disney and I dont know if we will do anything through them this time either. St Thomas day we are going to go to St john trunk bay we are planning on.

No, none of us is excited. We have waited so long now, that it's just a big bore, and all we really want to do is get it over with.

Awww, that's cute!! Nick always had two with him. He had the regular one (for sucking on) and then he had one he referred to as "binky rub nose." It was the one, that when he was tired, or scared or hurt, he would use to stroke his nose. It was so sweet. Btw, those binkies were NOT interchangable!

That's what made it hard to take them away. They were like his security blanket. So he was about 3 1/2 before he had to "sell" his binkies to Zany Brainy in exchange for toys.

He's 7 now and has already had about $1800 worth of orthodontics done. The orthodontist tells me it's totally unrelated to his binkies, ......hmmmmmmm

I think it is unrelated. Megan had braces, never used a binky.
Jordan has braces, used a binky, but her teeth aren't as crooked as Jared's....and he didn't use a binky. Lord knows, I wish he would have!

Nah, not me. I'm not excited. Too much to do before now and then!!!
From the talk on the boards it sounds like documents will be here soon!!
We arranged ALL of our stuff through Disney. We're comforted by the fact that Disney will hold the ship for you if you are on one of their excursions. We don't do well in foreign countries (heck, sometimes not even in the state of Ohio!) so it's good to know we won't be stranded.
