Gus -- we've been looking at the dolphins --- I think that would be the ultimate Christmas present as if the cruise isn't enough, but it's so expensive! Did you get a substantial savings by booking on your own? We only booked Disney excursions last time 'cause I didn't want to be left behind.

WVMD - My DH golfed at St. Thomas in July of 2003 --- I think he had a good time but he thought the course needed some work, so hopefully they've fixed it up. I don't know about that Christmas day thing --- don't know if I'm that nice or not. I kinda wanted us all to go over to St. John to snorkel and I'm leary of going with just the girls and myself not on an excursion.

What do you all want to know about us --- we love Disney, could be considered Disney Snobs since the two times we've not gone on Disney vacations we've regreted it. We usually stay at the moderates -- the girls and I do parks during the day while hubby golfs. Everyone's in their "Happy Place". We are really looking forward to this cruise and I'm sure we're going to have alot of fun especially since we're getting to know some people now!!!!

Got to go home now and pick up our puppy that we had spade today --- hope she's not too mad at us!!!

That thought hadn't crossed my mind, but hey....."children, we have to take this dog back....her tail isn't set on right."

Karen - you'll like this....We're looking into DVC.... and when the rep called the other day - she wanted to know who referred us.... DW couldn't think of your real last name - as we refer to you all as the Ohio "Mouse" family.... Don't think that the guide would have understood....

Patrick.....PATRICK!

You must be one of the few who doesn't automatically say "KT Patrick"....in the old neighborhood there were so many Katie's we always heard KT Patrick this and KT Patrick that.

DW4US..........I wanted the ultimate dolphin excursion myself for DD and I.
DS is too small plus he didn't seem too interested when we asked him one day.
DD is a whole different story altogether.

I discovered that the tour operator that Disney is booking the dolphin excursion with, has various different swim programs with the dolphins.
Some are more interactive then others.

The program with Disney is NOT the most exclusive/interactive one.
The best bang for your buck or the most interactive ( Dorsal pulls and foot pushes and kisses and hugs etc etc etc ) you do NOT get with the Disney excursion.
So I booked it on my own.
Stacey and her family is also booked in this program on her own.

"Dolphin Discovery" conducts the "Royal Swim" only twice a day in Antigua at 09:00 and 15:00.
It would be pushing it perhaps if you booked the 15:00 program as we have to be back on the ship at 16:30.

If you are at all interested in the "Royal Swim" call the 1-877 number on the website and talk to them direct as there is only a limited number of people allowed in this program.
Good Luck.

The good news is that your foot FITS in your mouth!
That means you don't have a big mouth!

And don't go away, either.

Yes, I am here....alive and well.

Things have been a little upside down lately, so I have been reading (cheater) but not had much time to post.

LeiLani....bad news....I won't be in Las Vegas the week before Thanksgiving...darn it. Or the week after, for that matter.

Anyway... I should be able to stay caught up here, I hope!

Ohminnie, I think that woman was just jealous of Maggie. We were told once that our (long deceased) Boston Terrier couldn't show because he had an underbite. But otherwise, he was perfectly marked, and smaller than most. Oh well....too much work to show, anyway. And we always called Maggie's thing "Duck-footed" although I doubt that's a technical term.

Best get dinner started....yeah, Suzy Homemaker here.....

TTYL and have a great night,
Stacey

Hi all!

Welcome DW4US

Busy day today. got the kids passports and sent in final payment. Arranged coverage at work - now just need to pay for excursions, finish shopping, make door signs, lose 15 lbs, pack, oh I guess I better finish shopping for the rest of the family (niece, nephews, and those less fortunate that don;t get to join us on the cruise) I think I still have enough to do to keep me busy until cruise time.

Stacey glad to see you're still out there.

Doc --you can't quite not who will pirate: the T.O.Ps?

Don't expect to be the last one on / first on up tomorrow. I think I need my beauty rest tonight.

Vicki

Hey GaRry.......I just found my Hotel ( Ron Jon's )on Dave's web site.

I am really close to the cruise terminal.

Maybe I should make the coffees in my room and we could walk from there.
Do you like special coffees?..........Kahlua, Bailly's or Cognac?
Bring a large Mug.
Anyone else?

Have a look http://www.dcltribute.com/maps/cc.htm

Welcome DW4US!!! First things first, you need to change your screen name.:p Everytime I see a post from you I think - I don't remember posting that! Just Kidding :teeth: It's great to have you join us. I have a DD who is 15 but she is not on the boards yet. I will get her on one of these days. Like Virgil said - DH is golfing with him in St Thomas and DH is also golfing in St Lucia. I believe Mary Ann's(margiroux) DH is going to golf in St Lucia and I think Charlotte's (GlenelgMom) DH is also golfing. The girls and I are going on the Pirate Excursion in St Lucia while DH golfs. As a matter of fact there are several DISers on the 9am Pirate Excursion and a few on the later one. In case you have not read this somewhere before , Mary(WDWLVR) has a newsletter going and is in charge of the buttons. I am sure she will PM you later. gaRry(wdwgoose) is in charge of the T-shirts. Also there are several of us going to MVMCP on the 17th. If you are interested in going to this we are planning on having mini-DIS Meet sometime that night. I don't remember if you stated what seating you had for dinner. But if you are interested in sitting near other DISers, Mary(WDWLVR) is handling the requests for early seating and Diana(Dancind) is taking care of late seating.
Again, welcome to this  , but great group of people.

Stacey - that too bad about Vegas. I was really looking forward to seeing you again. I guess I will just have to wait until the cruise. Take care and I hope things straighten themselves out soon.

Well - it looks like the Mountaineers are going to win one.... Definitely not a pretty game.....

Going to go to bed - after I pay the bills....

I'll wave as I pass over everybody in the morning....

Take care - have a great Thursday!!!

Be back online once I'm in San Francisco.....

Saw a post over on the main board - where tksbaskets asked about the Rhino Riders - may have another DISer on the cruise - I invited them to the thread if they are....

Welcome DW4US. I have been busy just for 24 hours and had several pages to catch up. Great stuff :D . I was at a silent auction fundraiser tonight and over $2100 came in after expenses. This is for an emergency food pantry in Baltimore. Feelin' good :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Do you mean magicalfam5?

They are from OHIO!!! Woo hoo! They could be our neighbors and we don't even know it!! Well, I know they don't live across the street! Virgil, they mowed HALF the yard about a week ago. I was hopeful that they were getting ready to sell it, but alas, it was only b/c the country club wanted to use 1/2 the yard for parking for a cross country meet. Found out yesterday the bank bought it back at the sheriff sale and it could sit for 3-4 yrs!!!
:earseek:

:sunny: Hey...look who's here again! Amazing!

Virgil...I am so jealous. San Fran is one of my favorite places. I've toured Alcatraz three times and could do it again. The history is amazing, and I get this weird feeling there. Jay and I walked all over the grounds, in the basement...all sorts of places we were not really supposed to be (little rule breakers!)
But it's just too fascinating. The shower room isn't at all like the one in the movie with Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage.
We also, quite literally, ran into Jay Leno filming a segment for the Tonight Show, and were on that.....and on the boat where Don Johnson's police office was filmed. Cool stuff.

They're still showing the hoopla going on at ASU...and the airport...pics of Air Force One still on the runway. Kind of creepy, knowing that many important people were here in town....and some not so important people. Makes me feel vulnerable.

So...I actually get to do something fun tomorrow. After a morning of work in the office, I'm going to lunch with a friend I haven't seen in a long time. We could probably talk until dinner time!

I haven't gotten anything in the mail from DCL at all....should I be worried? I called the excursion people to cancel my original dolphin swim, and it was there. I have had to laugh, twice now, when I've called, the CM's have remarked on how many people are linked to "my" reservation. Today, the CM wanted to make sure that I was only cancelling my excursion. For a second, I thought I could have a little fun with y'all.......but I didn't!
But it's funny....all of us "linked". We are one huge family!!!

Off I go....working on the Christmas cards.....

GOOD THURSDAY MORNING TO ALL OF THE HOLIDAY CRUISERS!

Good night,
Stacey

:sunny: Good Morning Everyone.

What harmony life has when the kids don't scream, throw snib fits and LISTEN. Who took my girls? Was there a UFO siting in the area or something? Woo I feel so relaxed. Just had to share. I thought about all of you lab owners when I got my LLBean catalog. Lab andirons. SOOO cute.

Am off to do my crunches before bed. Stayed on my feet as much as possible today. My boss is evil though...brought in a big box of cookies, and left them in my warehouse.

Have decided to put DH in a tanning bed before the cruise. He is Finnish and Irish. (Way white meat !) It would really ruin the cruise to become a crispy critter right away.

Have a great Thursday.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
I know I will. Cheers, -D

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Thursday!

DW4US - welcome! I'll drop you a pm with the details LeiLani was talking about. LeiLani you are right - your screen names are so close that when I first saw the post I thought it was you :D

Well off to read the boards and then to work.

Have a great day everyone!
