I have a little bit of license plate/Disney trivia for you.

A little info first. New Hampshire has a high number of personalized license plates because we're highly individual people  . So, I always watch people's plates and try to figure out what they mean. I was driving to work when I spotted this dark orange VW Bug. I looked at the plate (Bugs ALWAYS have personalized plates). I read it and snickered. I wrote it down and showed DH that night. He read it and said, "____, so what's so unique about that?" I said "Read it again." He did and he snickered.

Are you ready? Here it is:

TIGGRRR

Hi again, am I must admit I have been doing a lot of lurking over the past few months too, looking for a chance to jump in!

I am John (44) and I'm in IT management, my DW, Torey (43) is a first grade teacher. We have two beautifuls kids, DS Tal (10 - almost 11) and DD Sarah (6 - almost 7). We are Disneyholics of course! Our addiction goes back way -- way before kids! We love cruising and everything Disney and are also DVC members. This will be our 7th DCL cruise! My wife and I lost both of our mothers last year so this is our first Christmas ever away from home and without parents.

We live in a northern suburb of Atlanta called Acworth and we are a mere 7 hours from Orlando so we go visit the mouse frequently (any excuse will do). In fact we are headed to SSR in late Oct to enjoy MNSSHP! Anyway, I am a goofy fan, and am a bit goofy too!

Oh well, we look forward to meeting all of you. By the way, does anyone plan on wearing something like the lime green tags so we can better find each other on the embarkation morning (we used the lime green mickey paint chips from home depot last time). We are not staying at the Raddison on Friday, 12/17, so we'll miss seeing many of you. We are stopping off at the Hilton Garden Inn near the MCO airport. Anyone else staying near the airport want to meet Friday evening? Let me know.

PS - Thanks to all of you who helped me with such great ideas for surprising my kids about the cruise! I just love them!

Lots of us are going to MVMCP that evening. Care to join us? Hey, maybe you can get a character there to hand your kids the post card invite (that says "come join me on my cruise ship....TOMORROW!")

DING!DING!DING! We have a winner!!!

I knew you guys would get it pretty quickly. I had to explain it to DH, and he calls himself a disney fan:rolleyes: . It went well with the Tigger orange Bug.

HELP......After sending my last post, I looked for the Disney postcards.
THERE MISSING, THERE GONE. I can't find them.

Hey Goofydadeo.....there is a "Pay it Forward" thread regarding sending and receiving disney postcards.
I just requested replacements for my lost postcards I got last Feb.
I hope someone can help.

HI everyone,
Let me re-introduce myself.

Tina (me) 41- former teacher, then stay at home mom, then TDS cast member, now a substitute teacher.

Sam (DH) also 41- works for Dept of Homeland Security in DC.

Kristen (DD) - will be 13 next month, is in 8th grade. Plays volleyball and the clarinet. Loves music, dancing and the computer!

Jason (DS) 11- 6th grade. Plays soccer and loves all sports. Spends too much time on PS2 and Nintendo.

We are also DVC members. Have been on 3 previous DCL cruises. DH and I honeymooned at Disney and took the Big red Boat when it was associated with Disney.

WE will be in cabin #8080 first time in cat. 3!!!!

:listen: Good Grief! I've been on the phone all morning, and my ears are swollen!

Had several things to take care of. Now I feel like I wasted a whole day!
I was going to go to WalMart, maybe the mall, and get my oil changed (in the car)......since it's a 45 min drive to town, I guess that's out for today.
Why is it that I feel guilty? I did get things done that needed to be done.........

Hey...I got the TIGGRR thing right away! One of my favorite past times is deciphering personalized plates. We have them on all of our cars. When I got the new Equinox, I wanted to put "HEIGH HO" on it......my family didn't let me. They said that most people are not as Disney-minded as we are, and they might take it wrong! So it says "OHPLEEZ". My big YukonXL (the Mom-mobile) says "2NFROM".
Jay's welding truck says "IRONWRK" and his 1959 Chevy pickup says "AMAZIN"........
See what you started, Jenny? I am usually quite shy, but you managed to get me talking! ;)

Guess I should go accomplish at least one thing today!

I'll be back later to see if I have any more orders for the post-it notes. One cool thing is that they have the sticky backs, so we could end up with little sticky notes all over our doors! I wonder what our stewards and the other CM's will think of that!

See ya later,
Stacey

A friend had this plate one time:

XLR8

Any guesses what it means?

That would be funny, if it weren't so incredibly sad, but true!

Yes, and yes, she did. Had to ride home with her from work a couple of times and it was a scary experience.

Had a plate:

STRES'D

But, I am over that now, more relaxed as I get older, I guess!

Here's another way to get our counts up....
Does anyone want to try anything NEW on this cruise? Either something you've never done before, or something you've never done on a cruise before?

I'll start. I'd like to do SOMETHING in the spa. I've cruised now 4 times and never have done anything. I've SCHEDULED things, but always cancelled.

I also want to learn to like grapefruit. Once, when in college, I used my spring break to learn to like yogurt. Now I want to overcome my distaste for grapefruit. Figure if I can't finish my segment on the cruise, at least I'm not wasting the rest of it. Hoping they pack extra sugar....I think I'll need it.

Yeah, right Stacey. You never say anything:rolleyes:

Both of our vehicles have personalized plates as well. My car says GOWAY (which is what I always tell the people I work with). And DH's truck's says PRLJAM (can you get that one?).

When we got my car, a Pontiac Vibe, DH said we should get a plate that says RATOR, but I shot that one down. NOT what I want to be driving around with on my car:rolleyes:

By the way, I got the accelerate right off too.
