Well I am off to the basement to get rid of all our baby toys for the gargae sale this weekend. We are doing it with three other homes on our block. So sad to see the baby toys go. Dh is so glad that all that stuff will be out of the house and there will be room for other big boy toys. I say Money toward the cruise. Mabye I will use it for a massage on CC??!!

DS birthday was this past Monday. He is 3. Hard to believe. Terrible 3's!!!!!!!!!! We had a small family party for him as his big birthday party is next Wednesday at a very large petting zoo where they also have a train ride and all types of climbing toys.Really very nice and clean place. 20 3-4 year olds. I am glad the moms stay for this one. He is now into the power ranger stuff and he wants a game boy at 3. I told him he can use DD pixter that she no longer plays with. A game boy at 3 that is not happening!!!!!! I am potty training him after his party so he will be all set for the DC in December! He is almost potty trained I just need to take the pull up's off. DD was potty trained at 22 months. I wish he had been, but he will be by the end of June!!

Have a great day everyone. Gail:earsgirl:

I've spent the last I don't know how many hours reading delswife's trip report. She should write a book! Too, too funny.

Can't say I didn't warn you this would happen!
When I started reading them she wasn't done. I'd get to the end and have to check the DIS every 2 1/2 minutes to see if she posted the next installment. Sometimes it would be DAYS and I started going into delswife withdrawl!

Morning all. Great answers on those trivia questions. I wouldn't have gotten them though. I can absolutely relate to grandparents and the TV shows. I remember many nights watching Lawrence Welk (now a one and a two and a) with my dad's parents, or the ever popular Hee Haw. My mom's father was classic about falling asleep on the couch while the ball game (didn't matter what type) was on. No matter how sneaky you were, he woke up when you changed the channel with a "Hey, I was watching that! Change it back!" As I got older, I tried the "What was the score, then?" Learned pretty quick that wasn't a good answer! My parents were divorced when I was young, and Mom worked every other weekend, so I spent LOTS of time with the grandparents. It was great though. I actually know real live stories about things that happened in the depression.

Gail and Barb good to hear from you again. Gail, I sure hope things calm down for you. And NO ONE is classy when the kids start bickering. I don't care what they show on TV. I have people ask me all the time how I can be so patient. I keep saying that they just don't see me when I blow!

Good Thursday Morning Everyone!!

It's a little rainy here also Mary. It's been really sunny and hot the last couple of days. I know Stacey - 90 degrees is a cold front to you. When we lived in Vegas I always loved it when people told me, "It may be 120 degrees out, but it is a dry heat" Riiiiiight!!! When you can fry an egg on the sidewalk it is too darn hot.

Gail - we have friends that live in Mystic. He was in residency with my DH and he is still in the Navy there in Conn.

I loved Delswife's trip reports also. When I was reading them I would laugh so hard my DD thought I was having an attack or something.

Girls and I are starting to get ready for our trip to Vegas in 2 weeks. Have to get the oldest one out of Driver's Ed first. Talk about going crazy, try having a 14yo(who has not common sense) with a learner's permit and wanting to drive everywhere we go. At least in Vegas I have a rental car and she can't drive that.::yes:: And I told her we are not borrowing the grandparents cars.

Everyone have a great day.

LeiLani

Boy you guys had a busy evening and morning. It took me 15 minutes just to catch up on all the reading!

Raining here in Utah. Much needed. We've been in this drought for five years now. Send water our way!

One of my fav shows was Little House on the Prairie. Loved Michael Landon. But don't ask me any trivia questions, I would probably miss them all!

I forgot to take home all my reading materials last night after spending so much time printing them out. Actually, I made it to the car and then I remembered I had left delswife reports and the excursions on my desk, but I was too darn tired (lazy) to come back into the office and get them. Tonight!

Oh, I just remembered, basketball game tonight. Go Lakers! You should all know why I am a Laker fan. One reason......

Have a great day everyone!

Linda, aka Carol Brady (Yeah, like I have that much patience)

:hyper:

Hello everyone!
I'm a little late here this a.m. Had a few things to settle up.

Linda....I was just thinking about the show I used to watch, and the one that I never missed was "Little House" !! I'd have friends call and I'd have to have them call me later, because I was watching my show! Have read all the books two three or four times.....even as an adult. I bet I'd get any trivia question you could throw at me about that one.

Finished reading delswife's story. I think I know waaay more about them than I wanted to know. Very funny. The picture of Scruffy isn't on there anymore, darn it. I wanted to see Scruffy!

DH is downtown for his call to Grand Jury duty today. Wonder how long it will take before they toss him out?? You'd have to know him.....

Finally getting my hair trimmed today....it needs it, been hanging in a heap.

Gail...my girls were potty trained long before the boy. I think boys are just a little slower. (no offense fellas) I thought he'd never get out of his night time pull-ups! Oh, geez, don't tell him I just told everyone in the world about that!

Off and running.

See ya all later,
Stacey

Okay, where was Michael Landon during most of that show's taping?

What was Pa's nickname for Laura? (extra credit if you get the full thing)

What was the name of Pa's best friend?

And a semi tough one, what color hair ribbons did Laura and Mary wear?

Hi all - checking in at lunch.

I watched Little House and read the books as a child, but now sure of the triva for that. Think I'll leave those for Stacey:D

Mary's hair was golden and she had to have blue ribbbons.

Laura's hair was brown and she had to have pink ribbons.

One time Ma messed that up and gave them the wrong ribbons! :scared1:

We have resorted to Little House on the Prairie? How about some Man from UNCLE or Avengers? Not that I remember anything about those shows either.

So how much did I just date myself? My teen crush was Ilya Kuriakin (sp?), he's an OLD man now. David McCallum I think.
Wow, it's amazing what pops out of my head now and then. When I WANT to think of something, no go.

Love ya, mean it!

We could come up with a lot of shows...what about the Bionic Man, Bionic Woman, Greatest American Hero, Fantasy Island, Facts of Life, Different Strokes, etc etc..

Man, I watched a lot of TV as a kid!

Well we could always talk about Star Trek - big fan of that and in a way that's how I met Mark.

Michael was directing (most of the time). And yep the hair ribbons were pink and blue as Minnie said. That was more of a big deal in the book than the show. Laura ALWAYS wanted the blue ones!

Just checked back a page. Minnie's got Mr. Edwards right.

Half pint is the short version. Anyone know the long one?
