Good Morning! Happy Thursday! Hope this finds everyone healthy and happy! We are in a wierd weather pattern here. Nice days that go into stormy nights.
Hope Lynda and Cash enjoyed their cruise - can't wait to read their reports.
Paul - LTT before MVMCP is one of our favorite things to do. I love eating there!
Linda - sorry to hear you got sick - what a rotten way to spoil the night.
Stacey - we are planning on doing Disneyland next December. We've always talked about going out to see what they do for the holidays!
Well off to read the boards and then to work!
MOrning all. Linda, I was with you yesterday. Some kind of bug going around. A bit better today, so I'm back at work. When I dialed in at home, it was a really slow connection, so I didn't bother trying to DIS.
I think I missed the question about WDW before the cruise. We are coming down the night of the 15th, and staying 2 days at the Boardwalk on rented points. I haven't decided where we're staying on the 17th yet. Probably we'll priceline, and I'm leaning towards the WDW area so we can enjoy all the park time without a long drive afterward. Maybe I'll get really lucky and get a downtown Disney hotel??? Should we try to meet up at one of the parks on Friday? I'm not sure if I can cram it in. The in-laws have only been to WDW once (MK only) and it was at least 20 years ago, so I'm trying to hit all the highlights for them. The kids want to do Mickey's Philharmagic in MK, and the biggies in MGM (weren't big enough the last time we were at MGM, 4 or 5 years ago), and I know the in-laws would really like Epcot and AK, so I'm going to try to do it all! No special ressies though. Call me cheap, but I can't see paying the price for MVMCP * 6. Since we should be ahead of the Christmas rush, I think we'll be able to hit the things we want to see.
Diana, that is really freaky! Glad they caught the guy!

We get to go!!!!!! Just got the DH school schedule for next year (he's a teacher and a contract year so we didn't know when winter break would be) Winter break starts December 18th!! YEAH!!! We booked our reservations but weren't getting super excited until we knew we could actually go. NOW WE CAN!! Now all we need to do is find 8K...hmm....

Good afternoon everyone! 
Checking in and trying to keep up!!
Cleaning out the closets today I came across all my Disney Christmas wear... wonder if I should go ahead and pack it??
Who knows if I'll find the stuff again in December!
We were thinking about going to MVMCP on the 17th... haven't been to one in a lot of years... since the kids were younger. Are the tickets on sale already? I am SO out of the loop. I never make advance reservations for anything at Disney... I've never really had a problem getting into restaurants etc... but then again I usually go at slow times or weekdays.
Anybody on here from the Orlando area? I'm looking for recommendations or advice on a great dog boarding facility in the area?? I want to drop them off at the last possible moment and pick them up right when we get off the ship!! Any help would be appreciated...

Mary.....are you going to DL this Christmas (2004) or 2005?

Linda - yes we are in single digits heading for the Member Homecoming. I'm so looking forward to it and to seeing lots of old friends and some new ones as well. We'll be bringing the notebook so I'll be giving updates!
Stacey - our plan is for Disneyland in 2005 - early December for maybe a long weekend. We're looking at using DVC points and staying in concierge at the Disneyland Hotel (we've already stayed at Grand Californian and Paradise Pier).
Virigil - so sorry to hear you that you have had a rough couple of days. Hope things lighten up for you.
Leslie - don't know about Orlando, but have you thought of asking Shirley at the Perfect Gift about ones in the Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral area?

Actually, I wish we could go earlier....but the kids' school schedule doesn't work. I'm thinking I should home school, that way we could travel whenever we wanted to. Like that would work!

ohhhh... who is Shirley and how can I get a hold of her? What is the Perfect Gift? I am clueless!
Cocoa/Port Canveral area would be fine too... or anywhere in between! I have a feeling I better find a place soon since I'll need reservations over the holidays.

Wow...where is everyone tonight??
We've had an awfully quiet group lately. I know those of us with kids are pretty busy, and counting the days till school is out.
And spring fever for the working class! I'm ready to head for some *Magic*.
The quick Vegas trips help, but nothing beats Mickey and the gang. It's getting so close now I just about can't stand it.
Again....anybody need anything? (No, gaRry....not plane tickets, a horse, or a million dollars!)
Our weather has cooled off the last few days, breezy and 75-80.....totally perfect! Am hoping the temps are down at DL. I may just keep getting fast passes for Soarin' Over California....long, air-conditioned ride. I can smell it now!
