20040131 ~ Cruising Jan 31 2004 Western Who's with us?

Yo Dean, are you still out there? You've been awful quiet lately!
Almost..........too quiet! What the heck's going on here? First Karyn and now you. Are we being picked off one by one?:(

HADD!!! :wave2:

OK, I feel better now. Don't do that to me, Dean!:faint:

I think Gail and I are going to do the Conch Train with the group in Key West and wing it the rest of the day. We haven't decided on what to do in Cozemul (sp?) yet, but we're also open to suggestions. We want to do something that includes Stingray City at Grand Caymen and it's major beach time at Castaway Cay!!!:cool2: I might have to do the Banana Boat this time, though. It looked like a lot of fun!

HADD!!! :wave2:

Gary, we're planning on the Conch tour too. But probably on the trolley so we can get off, do the tourist pictures, and then get back on. Our son will be with us so if I can't do too much of the "Duvall Crawl" but will probably make the stop for a cheeseburger and margaritta:crazy:

I think in Grand Caymen we're doing the Stingray City and Island tour. I want to be sure to get to Hell so I can send my inlaws a postcard from Hell. You'd have to know them to appreciate it::yes::

We're still in debate stage for Cozumel between Mr Sanchos and Playa Del Sol. :happy1:

CC is just relax, exercise the elbow with umbrella drinks, and enjoy life:headache::headache:

I'll put up the list again next week with the new additions to our happy little family. :grouphug:

Anyone respond to you yet with any info on the Super Bowl party? Been thinking about trying some magnets for the stateroom doors of our group with our little magnet maker here at the office. Any ideas on designs? Are you to the point with the hats that you are ready for some money from us yet? You are probably getting the winds we had here a day or so ago. Wow, hold on to your Steeler's cap.

Dean

We are back from the great white north. Actually, although there was some snow off the highway on the way up, temperatures were relatively mild over the weekend at Niagara Falls. MIL had a very nice time, which was the main goal of the trip. I was so excited to see that we had ESPN2 on our tv in the hotel room to see some of the Pitt-WVU game, but then during the second half, I wished they hadn't have had it!!!   Here's to the Pitt season :yo-yo:

Have a great week everyone!!! :wave2:

There is no joy in Pantherville.:( We got spanked in the second half!

We're glad to hear you had a nice week-end otherwise. We watched the Magic sail away on the web cams on Saturday.

Welcome to all our new members and co-cruisers!!! We're glad to have you aboard, Mateys!!! pirate:

I'm doing the 75 day shuffle. :cool1: I only dance on the tens!

YOU DA MAN, DEAN!!! :goodvibes

I'm having the day from heck here so this will be quick.

HAPPY 75TH BIRTHDAY, MICKEY!::MickeyMo

To coin a phrase, It's 5 o'clock somewhere!!!

Can't anyone play football in Pittsburgh these days?!?!?

HADD!!! :wave2:

Here's a note that Karen e-mailed me:

I tried once again to see if I can post. We had a wonderful time in FL. Jill really likes U Tampa and Stetson Univ. Spent Friday night and Saturday w/ our table mates from our last Magical cruise. They are some of our best friends now.

There are just a few more projects around the house and it will go on the market by the end of the weekend. It will be about the only house for sale and is in a very primo location. I fell down the stairs the other day wrestling with a chair so I've decided that whatever is left to do is for Randy to tackle.

It's a beautiful sunny day today, if a bit cold, I imagine all that nasty weather we just had is visiting you now.

Shore excursions: Key West w/ the group, Capt. Marvin's at Grand Cayman - probably the whole day excursion (bliss!) and on Cozumel I understand the jeep trip is outstanding.

Looking forward to the Illuminations cruise - I'm considering it my birthday party!

Cheers!

Karyn

HADD!!! :wave2:

I got a fantastic email this morning from Karyn also and now I'm jumping for joy.:jumping4: because it is GREAT to know she is still out there and ready for the relaxation of the cruise and enjoyment of friends.

She brought up a good point in that we should probably get started planning a DIS meet. Any suggestions, or more importantly, any volunteers? :teeth:

Have a great day!
Dean

Do you want to co-chair this event with me, Dean?

On our last cruise we had a DIS meet in the hallway outside Studio Sea. It's a low traffic area with lots of room for a group picture. We did it about a half hour before the lifeboat drill.

By the way, any more people interested in a Lime Green Bucket Hat to commemorate this great event? The original post for the hats is on page 18 (with picture). I really didn't get that many reponses the first time so I would like to have everybody who is interested post again so I can get an accurate count. They should be around $9 a piece WITH embroidering. I would also like ideas for what to put on them. I came up with "1/31/04 DIS Cruise". Not too original but what the hey!!! OK, here's another picture of the hats.

OK, so let's get this party started!!!

HADD!!! :wave2:

Hey, Gary!

My mommy told me a long time ago that someday I'd get the chair. Do you suppose this is what she meant? :crazy2:

Sure, I'll help with whatever I can. Just remember, I'm a rookie first time cruiser, so be gentle. :scared1:

Keep me down for three (3) hats and just let me know where, and when, to send the money.

Thanks,
Dean

Gary - How did "Lime Green" get selected? Carribbean Blue would be my choice.

How about "DIS Cruise yet again!"

Cap

Hi, Cap-

Thought I'd check the boards before tucking in for the nite and saw your note to Gary. I believe the reason behind the lime green is associated with the use of lime green shirts, hats, headbands, etc by those who frequent the DIS boards for their DIS meets and making it easier to recognize everyone else.

However, I'm relatively new to all of this so my info isn't firsthand, just hear-say. Having a ball doing it though. Got my lime green DIS shirt already, Gary has my lime green hat and I think I've found some lime green tennies. Now, if I can just find some lime green shorts and sunglasses. :cool1:

Boy, won't have any trouble recognizing me as part of the group:crazy: (or ignoring the neon guy walking around the terminal). :earseek:

Have a good night!
