Sorry if this is old news but I just saw the 2004 Unofficial Guide at B&N yesterday and thought I would share.

I'm surprised it's out so early, but that's a great guide (my favorite). I understand there's some really good updated info in this edition. I'll buy a copy:D

Mine is on it's way from Amazon.com. Needless to say I've been tracking the package. :teeth: I can't wait for this new edition! :)

It usually always comes out in August.

Wow! They actually have a picture of the MK on the front. How'd that happen? Every other year it's been the three objects arranged in mouse ears becuase they were "unofficial!"

We were able to use Disney-copyrighted images in the Guide for the first time this year. I'm pretty excited to see them. We've also got some limited-edition pins with the new cover ready for the December meet and greet.

If anyone has a copy (I don't get mine until tomorrow - how'd that happen? ), can you tell me how the room photos and diagrams look? I also didn't get a chance to see the final version of the new touring plan companions. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Len

I just ordered mine from Amazon.com yesterday! I remembered Len saying it would be out in August so I've been watching for it :) I can't wait for it to come!

Laurie, huge fan of the Unofficial Guide :)

I think its about time I get a new one. My copy has a preview for AK in it.

I picked mine up at B&N the other day, and have been sincerely enjoying it! The resorts section is greatly expanded, and looks like lots more info about traveling with families! Also, there are room layouts, which DH and I loved looking at and comparing.

It rocks!

I ordered mine from Overstock.com The total with shipping was 13.87. I thought that was a pretty good deal. I can't wait to get it.

Mine came in today, and I'm going through it now. Along with the all-new stuff, there are lots of subtle changes in many sections. I like the new chart of transportation times from off-site hotels.

I'll be interested in hearing how the new Epcot and Animal Kingdom touring plans work. And the touring plan companions.

I can't believe this. I just got back from BNN.:(

I called all around Brooklyn and Manhattan this morning trying to find the Passporter for the Disney Cruise Line. I didn't even think to ask about the Unofficial Guide.

Whenever I go to the BNN I always spend time in the travel section to see what they have. Not today, today I went to the classics:rolleyes: , then the checkout counter to get the book that was on hold for me.

Oh well, looks like I'll have to go get it tomorrow.

Got mine in the mail from B&N yesterday! I absolutely love the "commuting times to the parks" chart! Who did all the driving back and forth to time those?!? lol

The resort diagrams look good, len. The additional shading is nice. I also like the new "water." The room layout diagrams are a terrific addition!

Oh, I see the parks diagrams have been changed slightly, too. More of that new "water" I prefer. lol

Haven't had the chance yet to read everything...;)

I read this post last night and actually went out and bought one at our local B&N.

Thanks for the heads up on this!! I need another guidebook like I need a hole in my head!!!!!!!!! I think I have bought every edition of the Unofficial Guide. I became a huge fan after visiting at Easter one year and if the tour guides work at that time( and they did...beautifully!!) they will work at anytime. We love reading this guide just for the comic relief about travelling to WDW. We had tears running down our cheeks when reading about the "Space Mountain Marathon", after which I said promptly to my roomate and fellow Disney traveller "No way am I running at full speed at 8 or 9 am to go on some stupid ride" and of course we DID and had the time of our lives!! I didn't realize we had a contributor to this Guide on the Boards.....thanks for all the great work!

I have the 2003 Unoffical Guide do I really "need" the 2004 edition? I am going in Oct with my dh, ds (2yrs), dd(4yrs) and my Mom.
