2004/2005 DVC member book

Anyone received theirs?

I would really like to know the points needed for 2005 at OKW and VWL.

Does anyone else think because of the delay (should have been out last month) - that the adventure season is going to be higher...

When do these usually come out? I got my 02-03 right after we closed in Aug and promptly lost it in about 2 weeks. I figure I will find it when I get a new one

In my opinion, I don't see DVD re-allocating points at this time. We know that certain times of the year are hard to book at 7 months, but I don't think it's pronounced enough to move points around. Of course, I don't have all the data that DVD does to see what the patterns are like.

For planning purposes, I'd assume the same point structure and seasonality as now (adjusted for holiday timing changes).

I have always receive my memberbook in Sept - except of course this year.

The points allocation are generally on the DVC membersite before I get my book. It is still not showing 2005.

I think I remember seeing something that said they wouldn't be sending new guidebooks, only new updated pages to go with the current book. But I haven't received these either

No new guidebook thsi year, only an updated points booklet. I thought I woudl ahve gotten it by now, too. I belive the mailing service they use is near where I live. Seems liek the SSR mailing I got very fast before otehr did.

Do you think the holdup could be because they haven't released all of the DCL dates? Or is this just DVC resort update?

could you possible look and see if the point schedule for 2004 and 2005 look familiar for oKW - (I know thanksgiving and easter change each year) - but I would like to know that early December is not going to change.

Sorry spiceycat, I must have sounded confusing. I've received nothing yet. But, I will post as soon as I get soemthing. I can't emember the address but the mailing from the SSR info was from my zip code so I'm assuming i'll get the new poinst charts quickly if they stay with the smae mailing company for everything.

LOL Have 2 trips planned and I'm anxiously waiting for new points charts to plan another? Is there a 12-step program for DVC additction? (not that I'm interested in recovering)

we were in wdw the week of 9/22, closing on an add-on at SSR. never done it that way. anyway. the closer said the new guidebooks would be out in a couple of weeks. maybe mid-october?

For those who may be unaware, the DVCPlanner program has Point charts through the year 2010.

Originally developed in 2001, they were 100% accurate to Disney charts when Disney published their 2002, 2003 and 2004 versions. Unless there is a reallocation (highly unlikely), the 2005 charts in the program should be accurate. Version 1.51 includes charts for all DVC resorts: OKW, BWV, VWL, BCV, SSR, HH, VB.

The 2005 charts have been adjusted for the Holiday/Spring Break seasons.

OK, I'm mildly confused.

I thought that the point values for each room type/resort/season were part of the DVC "contract" and that the only thing to change from year-to-year would be the holiday periods.

Am I mistaken?

The total number of points can't change, but they can reallocate them to different times of years as change demands. I have only heard of this happening once, but not since we became members in Dec, 1994.

I had heard that 2005 points for the adventure season would change - I think on this board.

Now I have heard that Thanksgiving would be a season all its own. and the first two weeks of December (my favorite time to go) would go up too.

I have heard anything about September going up. So I was thinking about a new season????

of course these are all rumors.

they changed in 94 - OKW (it was the only one opened at the time) the adventure season was 6 points for a studio.
