I'm on the cape the 2nd week of August.... And it's not that long of a drive other times of year.

Info needed badly, last I read this was going to be a weekend meet. Is it now down to one day and where?

Maybe I should be Dis'ing more. I haven't a clue as to whats gong on.

I have a lot going on that week we leave on Friday the 5th for 2 weeks in Italy.

Is this Labor Day weekend?

I am off that weekend! My sister lives in Marshfeild - I'll probably stay there the night before - So I guess I am saying I AM COMING!

Ok we have worked out some details!!!
The "pre-meet" will be at my place in Plymouth MA on the saturday, starting saturday afternoon and into the evening..
The "main meet" will be at Glo's on the Cape (it's about 30 minutes away) on Sunday!
We did it that way so those traveling would have time to drive on saturday and monday since it is a holiday.
That is indeed the Labor Day weekend...
Let's start making plans for what is traditionally one of the biggest and best DIS meets around!

I agree the biggest, best and most fun meet. If you only can make one meet this year. Make it the Cape Cod meet. Be a part of the fun.

I'm looking for rooms, but so far they're REALLY EXPENSIVE for us, thanks to the holiday weekend. We will probably to try to come up for 1 day if the traffic isn't too awful. We missed last yr's meet, & I don't want to let that happen again!

last year we got a group deal at a hotel in plymouth, we can try and do that again this year. Let me talk to Glo and see if we can find somewhere that makes sense.

I plan on attending the DIS meet. This would be my first one. I guess it will depend on hotel rooms or driving time if I can attend both days.

My question would be will be get directions of where we will be meeting?

I like the idea of finding a hotel with group rates. I wouldn't mind staying down there for the weekend. So if we can get more info about this that would be great.

The directions will be out in plenty of time and we are working on the group rate thing.

Right now we have not found anything with a group rate... The Raddison in Plymouth is very nice..it's $125 a night on Expedia.com. I would also suggest trying Priceline.com and punching in Plymouth, and 3 Stars.

You could also try the Sandwich Motor Lodge, They have suites with sliders that open to the pool. It would be easily accesible to Plymouth and the Cape. It is on 6a, Take exit 1, after the Sagamore Bridge, Right off the exit straight onto 6a, Its up on the hill on your right. If several people stayed there it would be easy to have a party poolside(indoors). There are already tables and chairs set up there. 508-888-2275, Also The Cape Codder resort in Hyannis has an indoor wave pool and 2 waterslides!! 508-771-3000. That would be exit 6, take a right off the exit, onto route 132, you will come upon the Cape Codder on your right. Of the 2 I maybe would say the Cape Codder?
