2003 baby budgies

I have photo's of my new baby budgies. They hatched on 01/01/03 and 01/03/03 respectively.

They do look uncomfortable on the bottom of the tray, but that's the way Mom wants it.

I have no idea how I knew a budgie was a bird, but before I even opened your thread, I was hoping you were referring to birds and not something else. lol

Awe! When I was younger I had Budgies and I loved them! I had one that I raised from a baby and I taught him to do tricks. Budgies are great.

Okay I had no idea that a budgie was a bird either. I just had to open the thread because I figured with baby in the title, I'd be in for something cute... and boy was I right

I think most people call budgies, parakeets but budgie is the most correct name for them.

Congratulations on your little flock. Is this the first time you have bred them? I love Budgies. I had one growning up and he was one the the best pals I ever had. He could talk and went everywhere around the house with me.

Oh my goodness! Your mama bird looks like our Sylvia! I was just showing the pictures to my kids (DS8 & DD3) We have 6 budgies (2 female & 4 male) and 2 cockatiels (2 males). We have 3 cages and we let them all fly around most of the day. They are quite a funny flock! We were thinking about letting them breed one day.

Awwww! Little Irvings!

I had a true pair of parakeets that used to have babies all the time. They are gone now, but I still have 2 of their daughters. One just laid eggs for the first time about a month ago, then she laid 2 more this past week. Uhhhhhhh, there are no males around?????? LOL!

They are adorable. I can't wait to watch them grow.

Yes, I will post weekly udates on the chicks. The mother bird started laying eggs a little over a year ago, from Oct thru Jan. I have been giving the babies away, but have 2 here now. One of her first, and one from the last clutch in Jan.

It is so neat how fast they grow & develope. I forgot the poster's name, but I remember her photo's last summer of baby birds on her front porch.
