Those people that don't enjoy this type of thread or don't wish to share in other peoples happiness can always choose not to read it as I don't believe it is compulsory to post on, or even read every thread. Maybe the time spent posting objections could be better spent stealing sweets from small children instead!
:rotfl: :rotfl: I'm sure they are Xmas sweets too LOL

I still don’t get why post counts are something to feel elated about. Personally speaking, I think post counts should be removed from message boards as they only serve to encourage meaningless / worthless spam as people strive (sic) to reach their next post count “milestone”. I find it amazing that extra money is being spent on the infrastructure of the DIS boards to increase capacity / speed when removing post counts would do this in one go. Whether you agree with me or not, it’s plainly obvious that some people have an addiction to posting, simply so they can see their post count increasing.

The old adage of “quality not quantity” should be used.

Merry Christmas :sunny:
You need to chill a bit, mate. Ever heard the expression, 'live and let live'? Some things really aren't worth getting worked up over.

Agreed. As in people posting about how many posts they've made? The reaction is as expected, just like the denials that an alcoholic would make if you told them they were drinking too much or a gambler on their 16th bet of the day.

AndRu, I know you feel that it is a huge waste of space posting about people's post counts, but reaching a Post milestone is just a good a celebration as any other. We are a big family here and we share experiences, good or bad, and we always stick together.

I personally feel we should just be quiet at this moment and post for the reason why we looked at this thread in the first place, i.e to say well done to Mrs. Night Train. So, AndRu, Don't get worked up over nothing. We're still going to post about our post counts anyway so you might as well get used to it. :thumbsup2

I feel so much like Scrooge's Nephew from "A Christmas Carol" right now that I am going to just say "Happy 200 Posts" and leave with a smile on my face!! :teeth:

Well Done Laura, and congratulations on the Tag. Andru, I agree that you need to chill out and take these posts in the light hearted manner that they are intended. I like many others have already said come to the Community Board to chat with people I consider as friends ....

So why do you feel the absolute need to read and reply to them then??, if you prefer the planning aspect of the boards, there is a seperate forum for you to look at.

No denials here, again, I will say this is what the Community Board is for and long may it continue, so guys feel free to post whatever celebration you feel like, Post Counts, Single Digit Dances, Double Digit dances, heck 3 years to go celebrations if you feel like it :cheer2: :cheer2: after all it looks like the vast majority of us enjoy them, post them, and join in celebrating with them. Keep up the good work and lets keep this board the friendly community that we all know and love. Those who dont like them can always refuse to open them.

Sue - celebrating her 8,479 post -woo hoo - :cheer2:  :cheer2:  :cheer2:

Im sorry Im really going to try and post this while holding my patience here with this reply. This is a Community forum, where we encourage people to post about anything they want to, within reason. We are a friendly community and can celebrate just about anything we want to, without having to have our threads soured by people who dont agree with us having a bit of fun. This is what being a Community board is about.

So no I dont agree with you, about this, with the everyday busy life most of us lead, its nice to get on here and post about our post counts, birthdays, weddings, divorces, holidays, and just about anything else we like.

As a sponser of the boards, Im quite happy with My money going towards any upgrades for this board, that brings a bit of happiness to anybody.

:woohoo: Totally agree :disrocks:
