$200 Disney visa GC offer...does this make sense?

I have been looking for the $200 Disney Visa GC offer for awhile now. Until today, the only thing I've found is a $50 or $100 statement credit. Today on Disney's website I saw a $200 statement credit offer after $500 purchase & $49 annual fee.

After the $500 purchase (I'd just put regular bills on the card & pay it off interest free) could I charge a $150 gift card on that visa, and the statement credit would then pay off the gift card & the annual fee??

Does that make sense? We'd like the gift card, but unless I'm overlooking something, this might work.

TIA

IIRC, the $49 annual fee could not be paid for with the statement credit. The statement credit comes in a later billing cycle than the one in which the annual fee is charged.

If it has the $49 annual fee, then I think you are looking at the Premier card, which offers 2% rewards at certain locations. Just make sure you know that and would end up doing enough business in those categories to make it worth while to have the card.

The $200 statement credit will apply towards the $500 initial charges. There's no need to charge anything extra to the account to use the credit. Just charge $300 and a $200 gift card, and your bill will be for $349.

There is another offer out there for the $200 gift card with $500 in purchases for the card without the annual fee. Offer expires end of march. You have to find someone who can refer you for this. No one on this board can refer you, it is against the rules. Sorry.
