I did a little research into what do you get for the $20 parking fee at Walt Disney World. According to the website and an email from Walt Disney World you just get parking!!!

Cedar Point parking fee is $15. Not only do you get parking but you get a version of roadside assistance. If you lock your keys in your car, need a jump start, run out of gas, have a flat tire, they will help you out.

I thought for $20 for parking Walt Disney world would provide some sort of assistance.

They will transport your tush through the parking lot on a tram ... that tram might be cruddy looking. Just a heads up.

I think Disney would try to help you out too if you needed it. Probably depends on the CM. I had a friend who locked her keys in her car at the Grand, and security helped her.

They do help, but beyond that, I wouldn't expect just because I pay a parking fee that I'd get roadside assistance. Maybe that's because I'm from Chicago lol.

From NJ, and I agree, Cindy. I always assumed if you had a lockout, or needed "roadside assistance" (no antifreeze, won't start, flat tire, whatever) Disney wouldn't actually PROVIDE the assistance, but would make sure you had the ability to, and had, called a towing service, or AAA, or whatever. I'ms sure they still will (although who does't have a cell phone to call these days? - very few don't, I'm sure), and I'm sure they would not leave you stranded in their parking lot - especially after hours or something.

It's been a while since I've hopped on one, have they gotten cruddy? I remember them being in pretty good shape.

They have gotten pretty run down. Kathy has posted about it numerous times.

About 6 years ago, my friend had his car battery jumped by Disney in the parking lot. That was very helpful that night.

I need help sometimes trying to find my car, im not getting any younger
I always remember one time the guy giving the tram spiel said, "If your car won't start, you locked yourself out, or someone has painted your car with invisible ink and you can't find it, flag down a security van and they will help you."

I expect there is some measure of liability with providing "roadside assistance" services, and if Disney's insurance doesn't cover it, they would leave it to the "professionals" who have insurance that does. There is a AAA Car Care service center right on property, so they'd more likely call them to come help you. But they've always offered help.

I've heard that one, and also "If you have any trouble with your car, like you can't find it, can't start it, or you've locked your keys inside for safe keeping..." I love parking tram spielers who have a sense of humor. I had one the other week who stole some jokes from Jungle Cruise.
