You don't have to pay with paypal if you use code FOG4868. I bought some things with it this morning. Also, if you are going to get in on the deal I would do it soon because people are reporting that they are buying $30 items with a $20 gift card for a total of $30-so essentially you would get the gift card for free. I don't imagine that this will last long once LL Bean figures out what these people are doing.

You were able to purchase a GC and still get the $20 off? Wow, usually you can't apply promos to GC purchases.

I have a question about this deal when reading the info on this discount it states you need to have a paypal acct in good standing(which I do) and you needed to received this discount from Paypal, which I wouldn't have if I use this promo so do you think this will be a problem?

My first order I spent $30 (which included an $11 GC).
My 2nd order was for $59, minus the $20, and then minus the $11, so total OOP was $28. So I spent $58 total when my order would have otherwise been $98.

However, what you said sounds like it would work also!

It won't work off a $50 gift card. You have to have at least $20 in merchandise. The discount does not actually apply to the gift card, but to the merchandise. But you can use the gift card for the other $30.

And, no, it's like getting $40 off $70.
