20 Days till BWV - Recommendations Please

We will be staying at BWV for the first time this coming October. Our previous stays have been at SSR, and we wondered if you BWV vets have any suggestions on stuff to do over there?

We are excited about the F&W fest (being so close to Epcot), and of course getting to walk to Illuminations. But - let us know some of the other great things to do in and around the resort.

Call us crazy...but we enjoy renting a surrey. It can be a little rough going over the bridges, but we still have a great time. We just remember to make sure it's not around the time that Epcot closes, that would be insane!! We also like getting desserts from the Boardwalk Bakery and sitting on a bench to just people watch. And finally we just love the nighttime entertainment. We always make plans to hang around the BW one evening to catch the shows.

So many things to suggest I don't know where to begin!

I love to just walk around the lake.

I enjoy sitting on the beach at the Y&B with a book or a cold drink and just enjoying the sun and the view.

Spend a couple of evening hours on the Boardwalk watching the juggler, piano player and whatever else is going on. Watch or play the games of skill

Enjoy a rocket red beer outside at Big River Grille.

Drop by ESPN for a cold one and a few minutes of sports action.

Sit on the front porch in a rocking chair and relax.

Decide for yourself if the Clown Head is a Demon or a friendly face.

Visit Beaches and Cream for lunch or a decadent ice cream like the No Way Jose.

Okay, enough from me. I could go on all night. I know there are tons more suggestions from my fellow Boardwalk Lovers!

Don't miss Jellyrolls! It is a dueling piano bar/sing a long which is a blast!

You will love the BWV! We were there for a week, arrived home on August 25th and placed ourself on the waiting list for points the next week.

Ahhhh the BW take me home. This is one of our home resort and I have to admit it's my fav. also but its nice staying at other resorts also but I do have a hard time getting my DH staying anywhere else. But this year I will.

if you like sushi and kareoke try KIMONO's at the SWAN. If you don't like sushi they have other food.

If the pools get to noisy try the pool on the BWI side.
