Yup I got it! I did the "not staying on disney property" thing as has been suggested and I got it three days later! I immediately booked 10 days at Wilderness Lodge. It comes out to a much bigger savings than the free dining would so I am off the fall FD hunt!

Try deleting your on-site itinerary and see if it triggers anything.

Congrats! I just created some non-Disney hotel itineraries last night so I'm watching and waiting! I don't even have real plans for another 2010 trip, but if I get a PIN that will hopefully change!

Just the room, but for 10 days it is a huge savings (around $1200). That cant be beat! So for 10 days at a deluxe with hoppers and food (mostly TS) the trip will be about $3000. That is just unheard of!

Not to be an idiot but...where did you fill out the itinerary "not staying on property"? I looked at the WDW site but couldn't find it. Please help, I'd love to go! Thanks!

When you plan an itinerary there are a few things you fill out (Dates, room, and tickets). Here are the exact questions with drop downs for each. (oh and to plan an itinerary click "my disney vacation" on the main screen and it is the second drop down.)

Vacation Dates:

Arrival Date:

Departure Date:
Travel Party:

Adults:

Children (0-17 years):
Do you need accommodations?
Yes No
Do you need park tickets?
Yes No

To the accommodations say "no." A new drop down will appear.
"If not, where will you be staying?"

Say offsite

Hopefully that makes sense.

I just got a pin code 3 days ago. It came 10 days after I registered at Disney.com. I've been registered at disneyworld.com for years so I don't know if registering on disney.com helped me in getting a pin code.

I got another pin code yesterday for free QSDP thru 8/14/10 via email. I did set up another itinerary showing off-site as well as my current itinerary for Oct 2010 trip and unfortunately can't use it. Wah!!! It said available to book thru April 30th so hopefully in May a new promo will include my Oct dates for free QSDP which would save me about $370. Crossing my fingers!!
