2 wks of WAY TOO much dining!!!

There were 2 families eating at CP for a lunch reservation at 11:30am. I really liked the timing for this reservation. It wasn't too busy and it got the dining out of the way for the day and we could enjoy the rest of our day.

We have eaten dinner here before and I don't really remember too much of a difference between the 2, so if you were to be paying OOP I would go for the lunch and save a few $$$.

The food was alright. Pretty standard buffet food. But enough choice for everyone to be happy. The character interaction was good as well. They never rushed my DS9mths who absolutely loved Pooh & Piglet.

I think the only drawback to a lot of these character buffets, is when you see them getting close to your table, you are afraid to get up and miss them. I know that they will come back, but I still always stay put if they are getting close. This is a very small complaint and totally worth it for a restaurant that can keep a 3 yr old and a baby occupied my mommy and daddy get a chance to eat.

We will definitely return to CP for our next trip this yr. It is a must for us and our little ones. We also love the fact that it is right in MK, so we can stay in the park after and enjoy the rest of our day.

This was our 1st dinner at CM as we only ever had breakfast there and I was pleased with everything here. We had a great server, the food was super yummy for a buffet, and the characters were great. My DS couldn't get enough of Minnie.

We had all 21 of us here for this dinner and everything went very smoothly other than waiting for 45 mins to be seated. But this kind of became the norm when there were so many of us, which was fine.

We had an 8pm reservation, which wound up being way too late for the little ones as we had a few melt downs.

The only food that stands out in my mind was the ribs. I am usually very fussy with ribs, but these were delicious.

We will not hesitate to eat here again and will book for our upcoming trip this year.

We like Chef mickey's too. I think it is on our to do list with our large group in August. I am glad you mentioned the time and meltdowns... we just made ressies for our April trip for the Hoop Dee Doo and I was having s hard time deciding between 5 and 7:15. We went with 5 on the advice of other disboarders.

Yeah I think 5 is a much better time as well. At least with HDDR the show starts at a certain time, but when you have a normal TS, you could run later, and when you already have super late reservations, it can seriously cut into rest time.
I know most nights we weren't getting into bed until midnight, including the little ones. It was too hard and made everyone very grumpy.
But you learn from your mistakes and learn what works for you as a family and hopefully our 2011 trip will be much better.

How could this have been my 3rd trip to WDW and this trip was the 1st time I had ever heard about it?

I LOVE Ohana's!

We arrived at Ohanas for a 7pm seating and were not seated until 8:30pm. It was such a long wait that they brought out some of their delicious bread to munch out while we waited.

We had a great server who even got some of the kids some chicken nuggets and fries when she saw that they weren't enjoying the food.

I don't think there was a single thing here that I didn't love. I enjoyed all of the starters so much that I literally had no room for the meat, which was fine by me.

I must have eaten an entire bowl of the salad and enjoyed the dressing so much that I was sopping it up with the bread. And the vegetables had to be the BEST veggies I have ever had. And I am not a veggie lover.

I really cannot say enough good things about this place. If you are doubting whether to try it or not, go for it. I now see why it is such a hard restaurant to get an ADR for.

They had a congo line for the kids and then some fun activities that my DD enjoyed. I think she also had to come and pick a special person to dance with and she chose me.

This is the one restaurant that I will return to time and time again, whether the kids want to or not.

I was so relieved to read your review. We have a 5:10 ADR at 'Ohana for our May trip and I keep reading mixed reviews. Most are good, but then I read some that are horrible. So I was going back and forth on whether to keep it or not. I really think we'll like it, the food sounds delicious & it sounds like the kids would have fun! Hopefully with having such an early reservation we won't have to wait too long.

I think a 5:10 reservation is the perfect time. For our 2011 trip, we will be trying for the same time.

WOW! That s some long wait! How many of you were at this ressie! Ohana's is what we were going to do... but I canceled to do Hoop! We are heading back down in August and will put it on the list ... and not e to take an early ressie!

We had a 1:30 pm reservation for 5 and waited maybe 10 mins. This was our 2nd visit and we never mind waiting as they usually do a bunch of Cdn trivia questions and since we are from Canada we love to hear other's responses.

BTW, our $1 coin is called a loonie and our $2 coin is called a toonie.

When you are seated they bring out a nice selection of bread sticks, one of which is their very yummy pretzel bread. Which is even better dipped into their cheese soup.

I ordered the mushroom filet and a cup of cheddar soup to start which I paid oop for. My DH ordered the NY strip and was able to swap his drink for a milkshake. This is one of the few restaurants that allow you to do this. Our niece ordered poutine and said it was quite good. It was served with orange cheese, regular gravy, and it came out in a skillet all bubbly and gooey. It really looked delicious. I don't see it on the menu on allears but I think we paid $5.99 for it and it was def enough of a meal for her.

I have to say that my fav thing here is not a steak but the risotto. I could order just the risotto and be very pleased. The steaks are quite good and comparable to The Keg. Although one thing I have noticed at WDW is most of the places undercook their steaks. I normally like my steak med-rare but found I had to order it med. to get it the way I like it. Even when my DH ordered his med-well, it was coming out pink and sometimes red. He is actually not a huge fan of LC and says there are other restaurants w/ better steak. In fact he preferred his steak at Coral Reef.

One other thing I find about LC is that the food, while delicious, seems like it is all prepared ahead of time and just sitting under a heat lamp. It doesn't have that fresh taste about it. I find the same thing at Chefs Des France.

We will probably not return on our next trip as we are limiting our sit down meals and focusing more on buffets due to our very young children. Also I am not sure about it now costing 2TS for dinner. But I don't know what the menu change is going to be so I can't really comment on that.

We originally had an ADR at Tutto but didn't want to wait around Epcot so we left and headed to DTD, just the 5 of us.

It was a Sat night and the wait for a table was only 20 mins. which we thought was pretty good considering we had no ADR there and had just walked up.

Our DD was sleeping in the stroller and we asked to use their elevator to bring the stroller down to the table and they acted like we were causing them the biggest inconvience.

Our server was very rushed and never seemed to be around when we needed him. No refills on drinks, waited 20 mins for our bill, not too knowledgeable about the menu or DDP either.

My niece and I both ordered the spaghetti pomodoro. It was decent and the sauce tasted fresh. My DH had the steak and also thought it wasn't too bad. When you are on the DDP and you order dessert, you are not able to get your own dessert. He said all the desserts were meant for 2 and if we picked say the cheesecake, then it would count as 2 desserts. Or we could each get a milkshake, but not a regular size milkshake, a mini one. This seemed a little odd to me, but oh well, milkshakes all around.

We would never use the DDP at PH again. It just wasn't worth it. You can get a better meal at Wolfgang Puck Express and only use a CS. But we will probably return next time and use the $15 voucher and share a couple of desserts, meant for 2!
