We have just returned from 2 weeks at WDW, as I found the reviews here so helpful I thought I would have a go at writing a report. I have photos for most of the meals we had but at times I forgot to take pictures, too hungry!!
Here are some introductions
Me (Kathryn) - Compulsive planner (3rd trip)
Colin (DB) - photographer (3rd trip)
Andrew (foster brother ) has learning difficulties, 11 years old (2nd trip)
We were on the DDP and staying at All Star Music.
Wednesday 11th July
We had an early breakfast at Crystal Palace. The food was good especially the puffed french toast, breakfast lasagna and the breakfast pizza. Colin loves the bacon in American restaurants I don't! Its just too crispy! The character interaction was very good, especially Tigger. I'm glad we had an early ADR as when we were leaving there were big ques at the buffet.
Sorry no photos, I'm making the excuse that this was the first meal we had and I was not used to taking photos! Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!
As a snack Andrew and I had Dole Whip Floats and Colin had softserve vanilla, well he had that and then finished off my Dole Whip Float!!
These were great and so refreshing!
We ate lunch back at All Star Music, we were a bit tired (jet lag and still not being used to the heat! We are from Scotland so the temperature is a huge change!)
Kathryn - Cheeseburger
fruit bowl (kept for breakfast the next day)
Colin - Chicken Strips
Chocolate Cake
Andrew - Chicken Strips
Chocolate Cake
Food was good but the service was very slow and they could not get the order right at all!
We went to DTD and to Goofy's Candy Company. We found the best use for our snacks (thanks to the DIS!) Here are our creations!
Kathryn - Marshmallows dipped in milk chocolate, sprinkles and drizzled with white chocolate.
Colin - Marhsmallows dipped in milk chocolate, rolled in crushed oreas and drizzled with white chocolate.
Andrew - Chocolate Cookie dipped in white chocolate, rolled in m&ms and drizzled with caramel.
It took us two days to finish these, thank goodness for the fridge in our room (we were in the family suites). They were great snacks!!!
We were not really that hungry, jet lag was kicking in! So we shared a cheese pizza for dinner and got an apple and cinnamon muffin which Andrew ate for breakfast the following day!
We found it really easy to locate snacks in the foodcourt as they were all clearly labelled with the dining plan symbol, except the ice cream! We also noticed the symbol in the parks.
