We have just returned from 2 weeks at WDW, as I found the reviews here so helpful I thought I would have a go at writing a report. I have photos for most of the meals we had but at times I forgot to take pictures, too hungry!!:lmao:

Here are some introductions

Me (Kathryn) - Compulsive planner (3rd trip)

Colin (DB) - photographer (3rd trip)

Andrew (foster brother ) has learning difficulties, 11 years old (2nd trip)

We were on the DDP and staying at All Star Music.

Wednesday 11th July

We had an early breakfast at Crystal Palace. The food was good especially the puffed french toast, breakfast lasagna and the breakfast pizza. Colin loves the bacon in American restaurants I don't! Its just too crispy! The character interaction was very good, especially Tigger. I'm glad we had an early ADR as when we were leaving there were big ques at the buffet.

Sorry no photos, I'm making the excuse that this was the first meal we had and I was not used to taking photos! Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!:rotfl:

As a snack Andrew and I had Dole Whip Floats and Colin had softserve vanilla, well he had that and then finished off my Dole Whip Float!!
These were great and so refreshing!

We ate lunch back at All Star Music, we were a bit tired (jet lag and still not being used to the heat! We are from Scotland so the temperature is a huge change!)

Kathryn - Cheeseburger
fruit bowl (kept for breakfast the next day)
Colin - Chicken Strips
Chocolate Cake
Andrew - Chicken Strips
Chocolate Cake

Food was good but the service was very slow and they could not get the order right at all!

We went to DTD and to Goofy's Candy Company. We found the best use for our snacks (thanks to the DIS!) Here are our creations!

11-07-200709-25-15_0161.jpg

Kathryn - Marshmallows dipped in milk chocolate, sprinkles and drizzled with white chocolate.

11-07-200710-53-26_0163.jpg

Colin - Marhsmallows dipped in milk chocolate, rolled in crushed oreas and drizzled with white chocolate.

11-07-200710-53-32_0164.jpg

Andrew - Chocolate Cookie dipped in white chocolate, rolled in m&ms and drizzled with caramel.

11-07-200710-53-12_0162.jpg

It took us two days to finish these, thank goodness for the fridge in our room (we were in the family suites). They were great snacks!!!

We were not really that hungry, jet lag was kicking in! So we shared a cheese pizza for dinner and got an apple and cinnamon muffin which Andrew ate for breakfast the following day!

We found it really easy to locate snacks in the foodcourt as they were all clearly labelled with the dining plan symbol, except the ice cream! We also noticed the symbol in the parks.

Thursday 12th July

We ate breakfast in our room before heading to MGM.

For a snack we had some frozen lemonade, really nice! It was from a stall near Indianna Jones. We each got one but we probably could have just shared one between the three of us!

For lunch we headed to Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. I had been looking forward to this meal but I was a bit disappointed with the service we recieved. However, the food was lovely and I probably would go back, although I don't know if I could convince Colin.

Here is Andrew waiting to go for lunch.

Orange and passion fruit.

I really liked the strawberry one!

We had dinner at Pinocchio Village Haus. We got so much food here! We really couldn't finish it all.

Andrew and I shared the Turkey Panini and had stawberry cheesecake for dessert. The panini was good and we kept the chips for later. However, I really enjoyed the figaro fries! We took the cheesecake back to the resort but it was never eaten!

1/2 the panini
