In about 2 weeks, DH and I will experience our first DVC trip with a split stay, BCV 1 bed for 4 nights, then BLT LV 1 bed for 4 nights. While I've been to WDW numerous times (too many to count), this will be DH's first trip and we are so excited!

I have question for those of you who have stayed in either resort. Have you experienced any feather pillows in the room? I have been told no, but I'm not always inclined to believe everything I'm told by the front desk or housekeeping anymore.

*My stay at CSR this Aug/Sept is an example, my reservation stated I has highly allergic, I called the front desk 9 days prior to check in to ensure there were no feathers, when I checked in, the front desk agent even called housekeeping to make sure there weren't feathers. I got into the room and found one of the beds had feather pillows! The room dance began to find a room that was properly treated for allergies.*

I can't wait to get there...and even if I do find feathers, I won't let it ruin my vacation, I'll just have it taken care of...I just want to know what to expect.

Thanks!

feather pillows are expensive - so Disney does not have them.

they do have the make believe feather pillow. really just a polyster - but it is make to feel like a feather pillow.

also allergic to feathers - but those don't bother me.I just like a firm pillow and those things are anything but.

you can call MS now and ask for a room with allergies cleaning - they will do an extra cleaning. beaware this takes time and you may not get your room until after 4pm if then. Also don't even think about changing rooms. this service takes the housekeepers over an hour - so it needs to be scheduled.

Disney does have feather pillows, I've had them in the room at Coronado Springs (as my initial posting stated), I always check the tags on the pillows to make sure as I know of the ones that can feel like feather but are not. The housekeeping manager was then sent to the room by the front desk who apologized that the room had contained the offending pillows and we were then switched to a new room...the feather pillows stayed in that room, hopefully the next guest wasn't allergic too.

Thanks, I already have the request for the extra cleaning for the allergies. I just wanted to know if anyone noticed if they had feather pillows in either of those resorts before.

I've had to switch rooms before because the feather pillows are in the room and don't want to have to go through the amazingly long wait times associated with getting the room up to par again.
