2 way radios

My hubby and I are wondering if we should bring our two way radios to the disney parks or maybe they won't even work. We have 3 kids, 18, 16, and 12. We thought if they wanted to go off and do some things by themselves, we can still keep in contact with our kids.
Any suggestions?

We used ours the last time we were there. There was minimal interference and worked excellent for us. I would give it a shot!

thank you. I was wondering if they would even work. This will ease our minds with letting the kids go off together.

We've used ours with mixed results. There are often so many people on the same channel that you are constantly hearing other families. They are convenient if you want to split up, but I would make alternate arrangements for a meeting place if they don't work.

We use them whenever we go .. they work great within the boundaries of one park, but NOT from Epcot to MK or any other hotel or park ... the reason are the large distances on property !

Glad to hear (ha, ha) that the 2 ways work. We tried them a few years back and had trouble with too many people on the same channel. But then again, I had my tech challenged Mom with me and my kids.
