We are brand new owners at SSR since June and getting ready to take our first trips. We are huge Disney fanatics (Like everyone else on this board) and we figured DVC was the best way to go, especially now that we are new parents. We are excited that we will be going to BLT on May 26-31 and than we booked a THV on October 2-8. Couple questions....

First we want to move our Ressie to BLT 2 bedroom Standard view in October. During the time we are going, is it usually easy to get in the 7 month booking window....how about a 2 br lock-out since we will have friends coming?

Second, the reason we want BLT for these times is because our DD will be only 9 months in May and almost 14 months in OCT and figured the walk to MK would be better than busses everywhere. Any tips for new parents with an infant that young?

Thanks all....this board has been helpful. I've been following for years, but now took the plunge to join. :yay:

A Standard View at BLT may be difficult to reserve at 7 months. Standard View Villas make up only about 20% of the total rooms available at BLT and are very popular with BLT owners because of the lower point requirement.

If you went with a lock-off, the 2nd bedroom will be a studio. That would give the other family a kitchenette in their room. They would have a queen bed and a sleeper sofa. They would access the rest of the villa by using the connecting door. They would also have a seperate door to the hallway that they could use.

The other thing you should look into is the annual pass to the parks. I still think this is true, with the DVC discount if you go to the parks at least 9x its better to have the annual pass then buy each trip. We went 2x one year and were at the parks 14x, the annual pass was a huge benefit.
