Hi!

I currently have a studio booked for a Friday night and a Sunday night. I am waitlisted for the Saturday night.

if my waitlist comes through for Saturday night, will I be able to stay in the same room all three nights? or will they move me each night?

Trying to determine if I should just give up and find a reservation with a consecutive 3 night stay. I don't want to move rooms.

Thank you for your responses...

You can merge reservations. Example: 2 individual reservations for a studio, on 2 consecutive nights, usually can be merged into one reservation to avoid room switching. Just chat with MS. They’ll let you know if the reservation is elligible and then will take care of it for you.

I just recently did this. Chatted with MS. Very easy and the change was made pretty quickly.

As long as rooms are on the same membership, for the same room type and view, then MS can easily combine into one if you secured them at different times, or via a waitlist.

I do it all the time since I stalk so much to get what I want!

They can also combine reservations made on different memberships if the party is the same. I rented some points from a relative who was unable to use them, and he just made a reservation on his membership but with me and my family as the occupants. On our own account, we made reservations for the same room type both before and after the dates my relative had made. MS was able to make sure our three different reservations were linked, and we never had to move rooms or repeat check-in/check-out.

Linking is different than merging. I have two memberships and they can make sure there is a note on each so that you do not have to move but they will not guarantee that.

IMerging is when they actually combine nights booked at different times back into one solid reservation with only one reservation number, as though it was booked that way from the start.

But, what happened to you was simply two owners asking MS to let the resort know you have a continuing trip and to assign you to the same room. In the system, though, it is seen as two different trips.

The front desks will now check you in and out...we used to have to do it ourselves, but that still happens behind the scenes.
