My next vacation (May 2013) will include a friend and her dd15, as well as myself, dh & dd5. I want to get 2 rooms at the LM section of AOA.

If I do 2 rooms, will it be on one reservation? (I am doing all of the reservations because her dd is going to be surprised with this vacation a couple months ahead of time for her bday, and she is afraid that she will snoop and find information if anything is linked to her phone number, email account, etc. So either I make one ressie w/ all of us on it, or I make 2 ressie's in my name, but one is for my friend).

Also there are no adjoining rooms, correct? If there are, is that a request that can be made? If not, obviously I would request that we have rooms next door or at least in the same building. I know a request is not ever guaranteed, but I am trying to I guess figure out what my options are as far as what to request in this situation.

Also, a 2 room ressie has to be made on the phone, I would assume? I don't see an option for it online.

Thank you! :goodvibes

You will get two separate reservation - 1 for each room. When they link them together, you will be provided with a "travel with" number. However you will still access each reservation with its own unique reservation number. The "travel with" number will assist in getting the rooms as close together as possible, if not adjoining.

First of all, understand that there is a difference between adjoining (next to each other) and connecting (an interior door between two rooms). I am assuming that you want the latter. All resorts of course have both types.

You can make two separate reservations (get your friend's credit card number so you can make hers). Then ask that the reservations be linked and request connecting rooms. Or you can make one reservation for two rooms, pay for it yourself and ask your friend to repay you. And make the same request for connecting rooms.

If they are unable to give you connecting rooms, I'm sure they'll do their best to give you adjoining ones.

We ended up with 5 rooms on 3 different floors. I think 2 of us had adjoining rooms. Good luck

Yes but 5 different rooms is WAY different than 2. Sorry, but in general it is going to be near impossible for them to find 5 rooms side by side at almost any time and at busy times I can understand how you got spread out even though it is frustrating....
