2 reservations with CRT and F!

I have a room only reservation for one night and then my package begins so after reading the threads I know I can book my ADR's from my room only reservation. Now the confusing part is I want to book CRT and F! dinner pkg.

I know if you don't have DDP attached to your reservation # you have to pay in advance at CRT. Should I just wait until the next day to book CRT (afraid it will be gone!) or is there a way to book and then call in the next day and add my dining plan to it and it credits my card? I just don't know how to handle this. Any suggestions?

Unless you have a dining plan on the room reservation you listed, you have to pay in full for CRT. So you would have to wait to book online until the package kicks in. You could try calling and explaining to the cast member about your room reservations.

They may or may not be able to credit your card if you go ahead and pay. They might have to completely cancel the previous reservation and rebook it to get you a refund.

Fantasmic is not prepaid. You don't pay until you arrive.

Your best change of getting CRT on the day and time you want is by choosing a date near the end of your trip.

Like Nala said you will have to pay for CRT if you book it under the room only reservation.

Fantasmic DP will be fine under the room only, it asks for a credit card hold only.

Squirrel - See that is the bad thing it will be our first day. Would it be possible for me to reserve with room only with my credit card and then possibly cancel it the next day (if there are some still available) and make a new one with the DDP? That way I at least have the reservation. Is it a pain to cancel CRT?

If you want to book CRT for your first day (covered by the room only reservation) you won't have DDP for that day to use anyway since you can't get DDP with a room only reservation. Or am I misunderstanding exactly which day you want to book CRT for?

Yes, our flight doesn't land until 8PM on Saturday (room only reservation night) and we are wanting to do CRT on Sunday (first day of our DDP). It's confusing!

If you don't mind having the $ tied up then you could do that. If there aren't any ADR's when you book using your DDP, then you would have to wait til your trip to get the $ refunded (unless they now have a way to do it without canceling the reservation and applying the DDP to an existing ADR).

Not sure of the turn around time if there is an ADR available when you use your DDP and cancel the first ADR using the room only reservation. It could be a month or more. I think I remember some saying it took 2 billing cycles.
