2 Reservations for same period of time?

My 7 month window is coming up and I still haven't decided whether to make my trip a single resort, or a split stay. At 11 months I made a 10 day reservation at my home resort. When the 7 month window opens, can I make a reservation at another resort for days 6-10, without modifying the first reservation at my home resort? This is because I really don't know yet whether I want to do a split stay, or whether I want to stay at my home resort for the entire time. If I can do this, my big concern is with the name on the reservation-can I hold 2 reservations at a different resorts for the same nights, and leave both reservations in my name? I have the points, no problem with UY, otherwise all set.

Yes. I hold multiple reservations for the same dates because we don’t always know who is coming that far in advance.

So not exactly the same question but can someone be in 2 rooms at the same time? Like if my friends are staying at Caribbean beach but I add them to my deluxe resort so they have access to extended hours. I’ve added people when they stayed offsite only.

Yes. I would check with the front desk to make sure their MB or app shows that they’re on on the deluxe reservation. We do this often when we have a 2 or 3BR + a studio and want the studio people to have access to the bigger room.

It will cause issues with their magic bands as someone can not be checked into two resorts at once.

So, you are not going to be able to add them for extra night hours because their tickets will be attached to their MDE profile which will also be what has them checked in to CBR.

Getting someone an extra key for the room is different.

You can’t be checked into two different onsite resorts at the same time. So for extra hours, it won’t work to add guests staying elsewhere onsite as they’d need ti be checked out of the original room.
